Very amusing.

While trying to respond to the "Shared Account" thread and quoting paragraph 2.3 of the TOS I kept getting a 403 Error message

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /newreply.php on this server."

I was able to post my message only after I removed the quote of paragraph 2.3 of the TOS.

As I said there, it's due to the use of various words within the post.

oh well, I thought 'select and' was the offending phrase, but I'm wrong.

This is what I was trying to quote, I changed the s to a x, lets see if it works.

What the TOS says is this:

"2.3 You need to use an account name in Second Life which is not misleading, offensive or infringing. You must xelect and keep secure your account password.
...

At the time your Account is opened, you must xelect a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and are responsible for any harm resulting from your disclosure, or authorizing the disclosure of, your password or from use by any person of your password to gain access to your Account or Account Name. At no time should you respond to an online request for a password other than in connection with the log-on process to the Service. Your disclosure of your password to any other person is entirely at your own risk."

Select is part of it. You cannot follow it with frum at any point later in the post. (Except spelled correctly)

You can however say from before select, just not the other way around.

It would help if the error message was vaguely informative rather than a completely misleading (if not down right incorrect).

Yeppers. There are more combinations that are disallowed, as well.

Well... I think technically the error message is correct, it's just that it's reading things wrong. I believe that as is, it sees it as code to attempt to either change or pull data frum the newreply.php form, which you should not be allowed to do.

The fix would be to change it so that nothing within the input field is seen as code, but that might kill BBCode, I don't know... there's a fix, it just hasn't been done yet , I'm sure.
