ban one from an open group...how?

I know there was a thread on this not too long ago ....
I just cant find it

but I thought it said there was a way to keep someone from joining a group a but still keep it open enrollment

I think maybe there was a Jira on it, but the group consensus was that you couldn't.

I think the best you could do would be to program a bot to periodically check group enrollment and eject the offender.

I don't know if it's true, but I have been told that once you eject someone from a group, they can't rejoin it.
