Third post or so in. No need for an anti-idle program. You can turn it off right in the client. Press CTRL+ALT+D to get to the advanced menu then follow the steps on that thread.

Have fun.

That is odd. Well, I love the mystitool. It has tons of features in it including an anti-idle. It has never done me wrong. :)

Yes, xebian, I agree with Mac: the Mystitool is your friend.

It seems that, if you minimize your SL client window, then it will log you out. But if you keep it open, even if it doesn't have your screen focus while you work in another app, then it will stay running indefinitely.

I use that method and have been afk for a couple of hours and not been logged out.

I think if you click the tab it only last until log off then must be repeated.I agree Mysti is the proper job but not when windowed.

This actually is one setting that will persist across logins.

Definitely do not minimize your window or you will get logged out. The window does not have to have focus, but it must not be minimized.

Funny...
when i uncheck

Advanced> Character> Character Tests> Go Away/AFK When Idle

i am able to minimize my client window for hours and hours and have never gotten logged out....

Are you using the main client or one of the candidate clients? i wonder if that makes a difference... i use the candidate client.. and before that i'd been using first look for awhile..

Actually, I haven't tried lately to minimize the window. I just know that long ago minimizing the window would sort of negate that. I'll have to give it a try again.

I use a variety of viewer versions, but the one that I use the most is Nicholaz BE-v, which is based on SL 1.18.5.3.

ETA: Minimizing the window does not cause log off when ' Advanced> Character> Character Tests> Go Away/AFK When Idle' is unchecked. I minimized the window and left the computer for about an hour and did not get logged out. Nice to know
