Landing Point: Too high above

I am managing a sim and can't figure why I keep landing high above 200sqm but the default central landing point works normally. For example, If I were to search the SIM in the Map tool it would take me to the center of the SIM landing on the ground normally but once I direct teleport to a different spot on the same sim I land above 200sqm.

Here's a link to a thread I posted with a similar problem:

If you're experiencing the same, I've never found a solution but it eventually goes away.

AH thanks, your right. it does go away....after re-starting the viewer.

Btw, you know how to change the landing point for a SIM? For example, instead of the middle can it be changed to a different spot? That way when people search the SIM they land on the spot I want them to land.

I don't for an entire sim. Someone will probably come along who does. Wait a bit and see. If not, then post a new thread with that in the title.

When you click on the map to select a position, you can 'click on a cloud', and end up teleporting in at an altitude much higher than ground level.

That's odd. whenever I click on the map to teleport, it teleports me to a spot equal to my current height, unless that would be undergound at the new place. I've had many spectacular but unintended falls using such a method.
