Lately there's been a lot of talk about Linden roads for walking and driving vehicles. I've taken a lot of strolls through many of the great parks throughout SL but not many of the roads. The roads I have been on have been mostly a wasteland of Ad farms and such.
I'm not really into driving vehicles but I do enjoy walking or bouncing around on my pogo stick. Any suggestions on the best Linden Roads out there that I should go explore?

The oldest continent has some really nice roads and few adfarms compared to the new ones.

I like the roads which pass through my home sim of Bodega. They lead to places like Zero Point and pass through The Forest of Kahruvel as well as over bridges and along the inland sea.

I've taken a quick swing by Bodega and neighboring Davenport. I'm in awe. I can't believe I never knew these beautiful sims existed. I hope I get many more recommendations.

There's some nice Linden road in the area around Rosieri/Hector/Gunda that extends for quite a while in several directions that isn't too bad considering it's mainland. Good for driving, flying or bouncing

find a set of train tracks on the old continant and just follow it. aid farmers seem to ignore them and you can just find the coolest things around them.

My home is right beside a future Linden road in Yosu on the east of the southern continent, Jeogeot. If you walk southwards along the road for about I km you come to a big lake that I call Lake Bigbig. You get a variety of scenery including some adfarms. I've swum the length of the lake (3 or 4 sims) too. Northwards from my place the walk is more nondescript but if you like counting those swirly blue and purple Sapphire Moon signs there are plenty along the way.

Why roads? I suppose a pogo stick works better on a paved surface, but how about hiking paths? Acropolis, Garden of Apollo, Midnight Reflection, SL Botanical Gardens are all great places to walk.

there's a train track running through the continent of ______, and in Foxglove sim there is an actual Linden owned train terminal. it's pretty cool to happen upon, and following the tracks brings you through some very cool properties. one of my favorites was a Mesa based property, somewhere west of that terminal. visually entertaining. enjoy.

I recently paid a vist to the SL Botannical Gardens and it is a lovely area...very relaxing, great for taking pictures. I'll definitely have to check out the other places mentioned. And I've actually been searching for the last few days for somewhere I can test out a few vehicles... that's one of the SL experiences that I haven't tried yet (not telling what the other one is though

Acropolis, Garden of Apollo, Midnight Reflection, SL Botanical Gardens are all great places to walk. I've been to all of those many times and enjoy them very much. I wanted something different. I checked out some of the roads on the older sims last night and it's much different. Much more like taking a stroll through the neighborhood. Either no adfarms or very few and I stumbled on many great little shops I'd never heard of, met a friendly person or two to chat with, and some amazing scenery. I'm glad I asked.

There are some wonderful raised roads, it's like walking along the Great Wall of China - but I cannot remember where they are....

tp to the north edge of carmine where the linden road cuts thru the sim. travel west. take either branch of the road. this feeds into the extensive road system on heterocera.
you can go east ... tho i've not been down that way very far ... yet.

Go to Barcola and start walking. There is even a trolley system there, or in neighboring Sistiana. Barcola is where I landed when I relogged after crashing on OI, and couldn't get back because it was full.

There are over 800 m of paved road in Ranunculus. There are free roller skates and pogo sticks, among other things, at the Silver King Grill which is pretty much in the center of that mainland region.

One can start at Luna, pass through Nova Albion, cross the Straits of Shermerville Bridge and keep right on through the 'burbs.

Good ole Barcola and Miramere...I remember early 2007 when me & the Insane Jester's MC would ride our bikes around Barcola and Miramere for hours at full-throttle and full volume, probably blowing the camper's speakers out in the cafes... Yeah, it's good for a walk ... better than it was to ride, since at certain spots you ALWAYS sink into the ground no matter what, like the intersection next to the Miramere infohub entry/TP point (which is a good spot to meet some cool regulars, but you might wanna sit down so you don't get "drive-by orbited".

I had a great time walking around Sistiana, Barcola, Shermerville and eventually on over to the Miramere infohub. I ended my walk in Ahern and watch the usual madness that takes place. Lots of poor noobs confused by griefers trying to "help" them. I didn't allow it to ruin my day. Overall all I had tremendous fun.

Miles of overgrown country roads on the northern contenant - Heterocea. Try TPing to Crameri or Alcis regions and get walking.
