We've seen the impact the residents can have with issues..

Machinima community needs your help, there is a nasty bug with the Joystick Flycam that makes local lights "flicker" this has been an issue for over 2 years that I've been in SL and we really need everyone's help to vote and help get this issue resolved.

This bug really affects us when we try and make machinima - there is more than enough artistic talent in SL, and the beauty of our world is hampered by this problem.

Seems like a good issue to support fixing but you lost my vote for it as soon as you mentioned the hippo griefer JIRA issue.
