ok i admit it...i have totally borked my most facourite boots tsk.

SL was acting up...and being the impatient soul iam..i decided to try and attach the various parts of the boots rather than just click and wear as i usually do. Shoe shape went on fine, lower boot for feet -fine..thennnnn i figured the lower leg wrap part would obviously attach to "left or right lower leg"....right? Noooooo...nu uh...both bits (yes! i tried both duh!) sort of attached mid calf but not along the shin, poking from shin to behind. Tried to edit them...took off...reattached, took off...tried to wear...~sighh~

Im usually pretty handy at editing...but no matter what i do...they look SO poo now :(

Any ideas (apart from slapping myself hard and buying another pair- they were FRIGHTENINGLY expensive in SL terms lol)

You could try contacting the creator and explaining. Maybe they'll take pity on you ;)

I would contact the creator to see if they would be kind enough to send you a new pair (if they are no transfer I don't see a problem) if they are transfer you can try sending them back to the creator or asking a friend to help you out

thanks faithless hehe

I need to put the striped socks in the kid section too (I never realized that some of my stuff in the grown up side, would work for kids too until someone pointed it out LOL)

I wish SL would stop being a bitch, I want to finish up these shoes I been working on to get them up for sale... *looks around for yummy... I know she is lurking somewhere*

Stop pushing, I am hurrying SL hates me! *giggles*

Attach To --> Location usually resets any previously recorded position data. All the offsets and rotation data would have been lost, but not at all damaging your boots really. It returned them pieces to the default attach position.. Just need to move and/or rotate them back to where they should be.

maybe you guys can answer my newbie question about shoes... I bought a pair of Pink converse syle runners, but when I "put them on" (they had a shape and texture uppers) they end up looking like size 15 clown feet on me....

did I do something wrong? other shoes ive bought seem to "size" all right when I put them on, but these ones end up Huge!

kyllie it sounds like those were made big

if they are modify you can try resizing them... but keep in mind you can only resize a linked set of prims, as a group, only as small as the smallest piece will go (and with laces, buckles, eyelets all that kind of stuff makes it hard to size them down much)

nope...tried it...im really good at editing stuff, especially clothes & shoes...sl was being a cow at the time so it didnt help BUT...no amount of tweaking would make them look *right* again...thanks for the suggestion though :)

Are you saying that the linkset could have gotten ruthed, like the changing or distorting of the pieces within it?
If thats the case.. ack, call the creator :(

Kyllie, clownish tennis shoes are a recurring issue in SL! Check out this thread with some great suggestions for womens' tennis shoes:

I have the Tomboy ones, very cute :) Chip's sneakers are also very nice.
