I want to make a decision but I really would like more than 1 opinion (not that I am discounting it at all) on my choices. Just fine, overkill?
I'm with Argent on the "ATI would probably be fine, Intel GPU not so much" message. I like nvidia best myself, ATI seems good in general, and I've heard nothing but horror stories about Intel GPUs.

800MHz is sort of the bare minimum, so definitely not overkill there. If you're planning to run Vista or OS X it's likely to be somewhat stressed.

4GB of RAM should be plenty.

My two Lindens... :)

P.S. I don't actually know anything about the ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 specifically, but from a quick web search I gather that it's a relatively modern card, so you're _probably_ okay. The SL System Requirements page doesn't list the ATI Mobility cards in either the good or bad sections, and I don't know what non-Mobility model (if any) it's similar to.

Thanks for the viewpoints. I plan on ditching Vista as soon as 7 comes out and as the systems purchased now with Vista will get 7 free I am a happy camper there. I understand from what I have been reading that 7 is not the resourse hog that Vista is.

This will basically be my backup system or when I am too lazy or in too much pain to leave my bedroom.

Ordering the computer now so I can get it loaded before I leave on vacation.
