Hm, earlier today I accidentally clicked on my minimap and it decided to curl up and die. It's all squished | and I can't click on the sizer to stretch it, I can't even see the map itself. Here's a screenshot of what I mean Anyone got any ideas? I feel lost without my minimap. I've tried reinstalling, and tried using the release candidate (which makes my computer crash repeatedly...) If this is the wrong section please hit me ^_^

Thanks, but I've tried clicking all over and haven't had much luck yet. I'll keep trying though. >o<

Wow!
I think this might clear up if you delete the settings.xml file from wherever your operating system sticks it. On Linux, it's "~/.secondlife/user_settings/" and on XP it's usually somewhere like "C:\Documents and Settings\windows userName\Application Settings\SecondLife\user_settings" -- Mac and Vista, I've no clue.
My copy of that file has a line it it that goes: <FloaterMiniMapRect value="1408 68 241 249"/> I'm betting that line has somehow gone screwy in yours.
One can actually delete that whole directory full of settings, including the subdirectories for individual avatars, and they'll get rebuilt on the next login--but that makes the viewer forget things like preference settings, all the newbie warnings that have been clicked away, etc.

So... I uninstalled SL again and shift deleted the folders. (On Vista it's C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife\user_settings) XP So thanks :3
