Region full?

Okay I am up in my skybox trying to TP down to my office. Same sim. Apparently one of my neighbors has opened a club and they have tons of people there with their sploder going. I can't tp downstairs. Im already IN the sim. So why am I getting a region full message? I guess I could drop out my door and go skydiving,but just wondering why it wont let me TP if I am already there?

I think it's probably part of how the TP system works...

I think so and I think the sploder does too.

So between this guy and the guy with all the traffic bots, I am going to have some serious angry tenants.

Your in a bad spot. You can IM the club owner and see if they will cooperate with you. You can also muste the sploder - but the club owner canalso put the sploder on 'say' instead of 'shout'.

Most mainland sims hold up to 43 avatars at one time. Perhaps ask him to keep his events at about 30 guests so the other land owners in the sim can use the resources also.

We can put up tents at the Hangout. It'll be fun for them. There's a campfire already, an outhouse, about a million danceballs: what more could they ask?

If bots/zombies are keeping you (or your tenants) from entering the sim and it's a Linden owned sim (mainland) you can just put in a ticket or go to live chat to have the sim restarted and all the bots booted in the short run (and file ARs on the bots for a long-term solution).

That's only for non-interactive avies though, if all the guests are live avies then you're out of luck .

sploders are not illegal if the ppl do not have to pay into them to have a chance at winning (I would only ar the sploder if you think it is illegal)

however the guy using the sim resourced as he is is again the TOS, fair use thingy

(my kitties are gone because they were lagging the sim I was in, did not get a warning or anything, just got a msg from a linden explaining to me what was happening and would I mind if he returned them) hopefully with havok 4 they will not be as much of a problem
I said no problem I understand and do not want to lag out the sim just for a few kitties LOL

Now is there a limit to how much resources you can use per your land? Not to sound like a snot,but I own almost 35,000 sm there. He owns 2048. I have 20 tenants plus some have partners. Doesn't seem fair that he gets to use all those resources. (yes,I know I am whining sorry...)

And it is illegal, people pay into it,I was spying on them yesterday.

Is he using bots to bump his traffic? He must be doing that or offering free sex, otherwise, I just don't see a club that small and that new running 30+ people. If he is running bots, AR them.

I dont know about today,but yesterday they were real people. I read his profile and he seems to be involved in a RP. So maybe thats why, he already knows all his guests.

ETA- oh and all 40 people in the sim weren't his ofcourse. But he had about 30.

It's not really based on the amount of land you own as far as I know, but whether or not it's having an effect on other land owners in that sim.

Even if you own 3/4 of the sim you can't dump it full of bots so noone else can get in (well, you can until someone complains) or have the sim lag noticably with prims/scripts you have rezzed.

Again, if you (or your tenants) can't enter the sim you definitely have cause for complaining . It doesn't really seem to matter how much/little each of you owns, just that it's interfering with your use of your own land in some way (and the other has to be doing something wrong, a legitimately popular spot isn't ).

The sploder is legal if it relies upon votes from the paid participants to distribute the funds.

You really should AR when the region is full - open your mini map to show where all the little green dots are and include the picture with your AR. Thsi will at least give you a paper trail. Some Linden may come and explain to the guy that he is using toomany resources or, once you talk to him, he may just cooperate.

Many clubs start off strong upon their premiere and slow down within a month or so.

There is this thingy hud that you can attach that will alert you to sploders and give you the tp. It let's you know what's in the pot and how many people are there. I know because I had a friend give me one of these thingys....I played with it once and decided that I wasn't cut out for chasing sploders. It's a nasty lag one must fight for a few lindens!

AR the traffic botter, well with the club owner, it's pretty much first tp in wins I guess, there's nothing against having a 30 person BBQ on a 512 if they want to. If it's a regular even then perhaps talk to your neighbour. to see if he has plans to upgrade his land holdings elsewhere

I just AR'd everyone . My sim never has lag,right now it is just horrible. I can't even move. Who the heck would want to live there???This guys place is right behind my rental office too. You can hear the stupid sploder and him shouting. Oh come to find out,it's not even a club it's a furniture store. I'm guessing this was a new marketing idea he cooked up. One good thing I noticed though,they don't seem to last long.(These spolder events) Seems about 20 minutes. But than again I am not online all the time either.So I don't know how often they go on.

Question,is there any way of muting his sploder for everyone who comes on my land? I can't have people coming there looking for a place to rent and hearing that crap. How many times can you AR something? Once a day?More?

Sorry to say this but you might have harmed yourself with this. The people attending the events have not violated the TOS/CS by anything you have told us. The only people who might have are the people running the events/land owner. It is those you should have AR'd. It is not even against TOS/CS to play an illegal sploder - just operate one.

I would have just AR'd the land owner.
