Need answers about griefing

Ok somebody told me they are reporting me for griefing when I targeted to camping bots this morning & when she got rude to me & everything I called her a bitch b/c she justly deserved it for how she was acting. Was wondering what would linden labs do to me because I know I have never been reported before? Thanks btw bots didn't move & she said she did when she wasn't targeted.

What do you mean targeted two camping bots? You were shooting them or something? You should just quietly AR them. Just pretend you are shopping while you fill out the AR. It might take a while before they get removed.

they don't have to care to do something about it..

the person may AR you and they may not..you may get a warning or they may ban you for a time..
then again..they may feel she deserved it and may not do a thing lol

I'm confused. If a person responds to you she is probably not a bot.

i think this person was griefing campers and this girl saw him doing it...she then said they are griefing and she is going to AR the person griefing the campers..
so the one griefing called her a bitch because she deserved it..

It is probably best not to call someone a bitch no matter how rude they are to you unless they are, in fact, a female dog.

But you probably won't face any consequences over something trivial like that. If anything, I think what's more important is what you were doing to those bots, which isn't clear. LL can check their logs and find out, if they care to investigate.

Basically yeah he got it all right & I was griefing the two bots b/c they are always taking up money b/c it's at a camping spot & the owner doesn't know English so it's hard to get the issue fixed. I called her a bitch b/c one of the definitions is lewd woman & she was one

If you are griefing *anyone*, you can be AR'd and face action over it. No excuses. It doesn't matter who shot first nor that the targets were campers or bots. If I'd caught you doing it anywhere I control you'd have been banned.

Most areas in Second Life are identified as Safe. Assault in Second Life means: shooting, pushing, or shoving another Resident in a Safe Area (see Global Standards below); creating or using scripted objects which singularly or persistently target another Resident in a manner which prevents their enjoyment of Second Life.

You could also be AR'd for Harassment ("...Communicating or behaving in a manner which is offensively coarse, intimidating or threatening..." for calling someone a bitch.

There's no guarantee that LL will act on any of this, but there's no reason they wouldn't, either.

Do you honestly think that you don't deserve to be ARed? I hope she did AR you, and that Linden acts against you on it.

Actually i'm referring to the definition where it means Obsolete; Wicked; Indecent.

I don't think I should b/c it didn't affect her it was towards bots she was in even involved in it & she decided to come in & start yelling at me & being rude. Including how she made rude remarks about my mother. I have been nice to 99% of everybody I meet on SL & she deserves to be called what I called her after the things she said. So if LL does come after me I'm getting her for harassment which is why I retaliated to her. If anything I should get a warning & not banned b/c I've never had issues on SL before.

ok sort of confused. But how or why grief the bots? They dont do nothing but sit there and dont think bots have feelings for them to be hurt by the said griefing. Dont think griefing them would make them move.... but I could be completely wrong in all that.

I have no sympathy with anyone who makes rude remarks about someone's mother - and that sort of thing.

But...

You griefed a couple of camping avatars. You have no way of knowing whether or not they were bots. You can guess, but that's all you can do. Even if you guessed correctly, you griefed a couple of avatars and that's against the ToS. If she ARed you, and if LL punishes you for it, you deserve it, and I hope you get it. It's not your place to decide the rights and wrongs of what avatars do, unless it's on your land and, even then, griefing them is against the ToS.

It could very well be. Just trying to figure out that "if" they were bots what use would it be to harrass them lol.

Read up on the new LL stance as regards bots, and if you have suggestions relay them to Jack.
If you accost avatars you may well be reported for abuse, and giving in to your momentary frustration is a sign of immaturity. If you can see the way things are at this time, and things are not as you wish them to be in the camping world, go and do something else.

Explore, learn to build, join a role play group.

Why would you want to emulate the deadness of bots by sitting immobile for hours when you are a young and vibrant entity, worthy of so much more?

Do get a grip treto. It seems you were griefing the campers and swapped some silly name-calling with this girl who caught you doing it.

It's not very grown up, is it? If you were AR'd perhaps the Lindens will let you off with a hundred lines and make your av sit in the corner of a sim for an hour or so. And let that be a lesson to you.

Yah sat through a few griefing sessions.

I had my head stuck in psp while sitting in a park when I stuck my head back in SL just seen the local chat lol so guess I upset them by not reacting, and they left.

And one time was sitting and doing inventory same thing happened this time I just watched and boy they get ticked off if you dont react. But just chalked it up to them being idiots.

Been shot and well killed lets see what else ooooo got blasted out of the sim with a baseball bat one time that did royally tick me off went back and continued to shop though.

You cussed someone out. Doesn't matter what the dictionary definition might say.

You can call every canine furry in SL a b*tch and while the dictionary will agree with you, you will still be cussing them out.

For that, an AR against you is deserved.

Since I've got a female avatar that well, people stop and compliment me on in suggestive ways... when I fail to react to males they often turn semi-hostile. I've just kind of gotten used to it since its pretty much how they act in RL too. That sort of presumption that the females in an area are there for their use rather than their own existence.

Since I often lag, or am doing things in other windows, its at least a once-a-day event.

Unless it turns really focused, I don't pay it much attention. One comment or two though, and I just chalk it down to 'chimp-ism'.
