What does it mean? Why does it say that and how do I fix it?

It probably means your avatar's age, not your real life age. Parcel owners and region owners can set their land to not allow newbies under a certain number of days (usually 30) in age. Once you're reached their required minimum age then you should be able to access the area.

If you are new to SL it probably means you were in a region that doesn't allow avatars under a certain number of days old, like 14 days, or 30 days, or something. |

It's never too early to make a bad first impression. Will you remember that this place booted you because you're new, Tennessee? Every place that I innocently teleported to when I was new to SL, and that promptly booted and banned me for being too young in SL terms (under 2 weeks old), I've, in turn, banned from my list of places to ever visit or have anything to do with. Coming up on 2 years now in SL and I still will never go there again. Oh, and I say "banned" because it actually told me that they banned me from those parcels. |

Personally, I prefer dealing with new rezzies. They haven't gotten to know me yet so they don't shoot, mute, or boot me like the oldbies. (^_^)y _____________________

That said, 10 out of 10 new players are less than a few weeks old too. So it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It's sort of the lazy-man's approach to securing the sim. |

They also don't want newbies trying to figure out SL while other people are trying to play a game. . _____________________

I always age my boots at least 60 days in mink oil that has been donated by minks getting reduction surgery. This makes the boots fit much better, and keeps me from being accused of boot ageplaying.
 Now if the minks ever stop eating at MickyD's, I will run out of oil and have to revert to using newbie oil, but that always makes the boots blocky.. ;P |

 I do find myself wondering at the mentality of people who blind-ban other people - particularly for things such as avatar age. You never know if that newbie today could've been your best customer tomorrow, if only you hadn't have blind-banned him and left him with a nasty impression of your business.
