Hello everyone. =]

I'm freaking out at the prospect should anything go wrong,
so I'm looking to the folks here who may know or have done the same thing as we would like to do.

The group I'm in owns close to half a sim of various plot sizes and would like to consolidate the tier under one individual, me.
The money from my business would go to paying my share and the balance would come from group members.
The reason for doing so is that we could aquire more land for the total individual amount of tier being paid right now if one person 'owned' it all.
I am not the founder of this group but will be made an owner/officer so I can repurchace the land and deed to the group.

So does it simply go like this?:

I'm made an owner/officer, then the current group owner sells all the land to me and I repurchase it for the group? or am I missing something.

I just need to know that thats all there is to it.
Thanks in advance!

donate enough tier to cover all the land used and let them remove thier tier then you will be paying for it all but really dotn see how it will help in any way.

Are you sure that the group actually owns the parcels? Were they ever actually deeded to the group, or just "set" to group? If only set to group, then have each parcel owner deed the parcel to the group. You will then donate enough tier to cover all the parcels to that group.

Also, if all land is actually deeded and therefore owned by the group, the group will get a 10% bonus on the number of square meters it can own for free. It has absolutely nothing to do with an individual person's ownership.

Is that the easiest way rather than reselling? seems like it could be. ;]

The goal in part is to be able to aquire more land for the same tier payment and doesn't concierge support kick in at the 1/2 sim level?

An example of the situation is this:
person A,B & C pays 40$ tier and can't buy more land without one of them going to $75
If we want more land one person will hit the $75 level, so 40 + 40 + 75 = $155
seems better that just one owns all and pays $125 with the potential of more land. ;)

Yes Oryx all parcels ARE deeded to the group, not set.

Then, what Damet said is all you need to do. Simple as that.

OK, I wasn't sure, because earlier you had said:

"I'm made an owner/officer, then the current group owner sells all the land to me and I repurchase it for the group? or am I missing something."

If all parcels are currently deeded to group, then there is nothing else to do except for you yourself to go into "About Land/Land & L$" and donate the full amount of tier in the box available. Once you've done that, then all the other tier donors can remove their donations, and they would then have to go into their own SL Account webpage and tier down, while you by necessity would tier up. Don't bother with the selling/buy for group. It's a redundant step since all lands are already deeded to group.

A quick note.

I bought a rental business out that had 3 mainland sims, rather than have to go through every lot in every region and sell and deed it I just took over the group, the founder made me an owner, I donated my tier then the old owner pulled his tier out and quit the group.

*NOTE* I was told this by a Linden, "If the GROUP FOUNDER asks to be placed back in the group owner role Linden Labs will do it.".

So the group founder can reclaim the group, and be in a position to sell off all the land. Just something to think about. IMO this is really the only way to change ownership of several seperated lots.
