RP question and where do Angels hang out?

I am no longer in my desperate housewife RP. I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing as I seriously considering a days of our lives RP.

Anywho...

1.I have a few friends involved in steampunk and vamp rps, what other ones are there? I know this is a general question, but aside from the dark side and combat, do you think there is anything an exsexscort recently divorced desperate housewife could get into? (Aside from the kinky, I already do that)


2. Where do angels hang out? I know there must be an angel hangout somewhere? Some of the RP sims I visited last night post "no flying" hello,,,,, wings over here, I must fly. Is there some death valley that they hang out waiting for people to die? Or are they solo creatures. Last night I just threw bibles at people.

They have a Desperate Housewives RP?

CoLA (city of lost angels) has em... albeit in a darker light.. and still no flying (hey I didn't make it)

there is also a group of Dangelines, which might be up your allyey, alas no wings also (based on some books of a bdsm nature, the only titlle I remember offhand is "Kushiels Dart", with the mythos of the books based loosely on merovingian lore, desendants of mix bred angelic with references to the scions of christ's brothers and sisters)

other than that I haven't really seen any solid RP of angels, but if you start something or find something I'm sure we'd all be happy to hear about it.

yea ColA (Lost Angels) is a great rp sim..but i hadn't thought about it til now..vamps ,lycans ,demons ,angels...and no flying?..it really doesn't make much sense.

Can't help you on angel RP, but I can give you a little hint about No-fly land: The No-fly land option is actually just a No-takeoff option. If you are hovering when you tp and arrive (or enter across a parcel boundary) you will remain airborne as long as you don't touch down. Once you land, though, you're earthbound for the duration.

True, but you might want to ask the owner of the sim if it is ok to do that. I have flown in places before and some people werent to pleased with that. Also read the notecards if they give you one to see what their rules are.

Avilion Mist has a strict no-fly rule unless your in the flying races group.

It seems like there ought to be an angel AO out there that would replace the walk with sort of a hovering glide. I know it's not flying, but it's the next best thing and it would work in a no-fly area. Kira's right, though. It's best to respect the property owner's or the group's RP and if they are really against flying angels, then I guess that's their deal.

I have a mermaid avatar that has a "gliding mermaid swim" even out on dry land. - hovers over the land. And do not need flying turned on to make it work.

Something like that would work for an angel perfectly. Maybe have her arms slightly outstretched to the sides, palms up as her wings slowly flap and her feet glide about a foot off the ground. The she stops and chunks a bible at someome. And not a little one, like the Gideons leave in hotel rooms either - one of those giant type 40 pound monstrosities that old people read. You could really beat the Jesus into someone with a bible that big.

Why on earth do I need neon lights in my computer? Does it need extra lighting to see what it's doing in there?

If it were a neon beer sign, I could almost deal with that just because it would be like a little tiny dive bar inside my computer case, but The Fast and the Furious style lighting to make up for an extra MONTH of delays? Sigh. Poor Trout. Computerless, sociopathic and too old to appreciate neon.

I don't know much about angels in SL as I only recently began chatting with one. I used to hang out with a group of angels who had a cool SIM somewhere in the heavens but they only spoke Japanese so I don't really know what it was all about. Maybe it was COSplay? I think it has long since disbanded.

well there are 2 places that may not look alike but can have a few similities... Hell, and heaven above the clouds...and if you hang around either one long enough, you will wind up being an X virgin...by the way, how did you become a virgin???

Neon case lighting? I'd pay extra to have it not have neon case lighting. Can they give the neon to the kid? Have the pony decked out in neon? Everyone will be so confused that they will stop and stare, and the kid will make great time. Get to you by this time 2020 AD.

And yes - stinks. In my case, I have the computer, I have the little green light on, and it says my connection is "excellent" but .. . . . I connect via the phone lines. My phone company seems to be of the impression that I called them a name, and so have only pretended to continue giving me service.

That's a good idea - hang the neon on the pony express and see if that speeds things up. Or maybe they can take the money for the neon and spend it on stamps and actually mail me the computer instead of waiting until the movement of tectonic plates brings it within my reach.

OK - before I get called names again, no more thread derailing. Back on topic. I like the idea of an angel AO, but I wonder how Angel RP would go. Jez, maybe there's another RP that angels would fit into that isn't specific.

How about superhero RP - Republic of Hayao? You could center your character around being an angel who rescues people from harm and evil or something like that. I was going to make an Angel of Gor joke, but decided against it. Umm...certain decidedly non-angelic forms of roleplay could work, but you would lose your newly re-installed virginity. Tombstone - the angel/ghost of a dead cowgirl. That one would be cool. You could haunt a building, protect cowpokes on the lone prairie, watch over cattle at night, etc. Really, if you want to have fun, you could work an angel into most forms of RP if the other people in the sim have a sense of humor and are willing to play along. What good is RP if you can't stretch your imagination a little?

No no... What I meant to say was the rules for the sim states no fly, although fly is enabled.
