This is not a life or death question. Just curious what some of you would have done in this circumstance.
My partner and I were enjoying racing around at the Mercedes Benz Sim with other drivers we didn't know. At one point my partner got out of his car and wound up standing on the bridge that is actually a jump.
A woman in a flying Delorean turned her car around, aiming at him and he jumped over her car just as she was about to hit him. She turned her car around again and again and he had a fun game with her dodging her car each time.
Finally she missed him again and she threw a cage around him and orbited him. When he got back to the ground she was nearby but he wasn't sure what to say to her. Did she cage him out of fun? Kind of an "Aha, I got you now". Or did she cage him because she was pissed?
Yeah, yeah, technically it would be griefing since she didn't ask his permission, but I hope I've given the spirit of the moment. He probably should have started a conversation to see where she was coming from but I think he was afraid to find out it was out of meanness which would have spoiled the moment for him.
I'm curious if some of you would have AR'd her?

I definitely would have found out what's what. Then either laughed with her, AR, or mocked the crap out of her, depending upon her response.

You are definitely slutty in the best possible definitions of the word. Dirty, hot, and a little scary, but in a good way. I'd like do awful things to you, but I'm pretty sure you'd snap me in two like a twig and leave me cross-eyed, dizzy and confused. I'm giving you a 9.8, tied for the top rating ever given. Almost off-the charts slutty. Shame on you and congratulations. -- Trout

When you're on your own land doing business or minding it and you get caged, file an AR. When you're out having fun and someone joins in, just laugh it off. IMO

My first instinct would have been to retaliate by orbitting her, but while immensely satisfying this can be pretty counterproductive. I would have IMed her and asked her why she was acting in such a way and then when she sent the rather predictable 'fuck you' or 'for fun' comment, THEN I would have set her on fire and orbitted her. ) Negativity breeding negativity, I know, buit it does feel good for a few seconds. Of course, I could just AR her and hear nothing ... ever ... from the Lindens. I suspect they get so many ARs that they simply cannot deal with them.

From: Brenda Connolly yeah. I would have said "Hey, that was fun. No let me do you" or someting to that effect. I guess he could have walked up to her with a huge freebie penis attached. Isn't that how women like to be approached? It seems to be what all the straight guys do.

I think there are too many ARs filed for this sort of thing.
There is no future in expecting LL to police the grid for this stuff.

I'd have gone to look at BMWs instead. I walk away from silly people if there's no permanent harm. It's different if there's lasting damage like parcel encroachment, which I've recently experienced. Sooner or later the DeLorean driver will get orbited by another griefer - it's dog eat dog out there!!! LOL.

From: Alt Aabye Because most of us like to get to our destination without calling for a mechanic. Then again, this is a misconception for which I am eternally grateful. I get to drive my five year old Alfa for a fraction of the cost all you VW, BMW and Mercedes drivers have to pay. And I get to drive a real car!

Thanks for the responses. I think it was definitely part of the fun. I just keep hearing in the forums about all the AR'ing thats done that I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.
The only times I've sent AR's is when I seeing noobs being harassed. I figure I can take care of myself.

From what you said, she "attacked" you first (by trying to hit you with the car), so the only one who has done anything wrong is her.

I am sure you do have a reliable Alfa Chas, but the law of probability is definitely against the Alfa owner. As an example, from about 3 years ago, the company I worked for had about 800 company cars. The employees were able to ask for any make except either an Alfa OR a Daewoo. I think the repeat occurence of total loss of breaking on a few Alfa cars greatly contributed to this decision.

That reminds me of when the company I worked for had me open a remote office in Las Vegas. I was unable to connect with the companies net system. When I asked IT what internet provider I could use I was told "Anyone but AOL. If you download AOL, you will be 100% responsible for all costs related to repairing your PC".

From: Brenda Connolly Wasn't Hitler responsible for the creation of the VW Beetle? Yes, as part of Germany's Economic recovery Efforts in the mid 1930's The (Then called) Chancellor ordered the creation of an automobile that almost anyone could afford to Buy, and Run. A "Peoples Car" or "VolksWagon". Oddly enough, the profile of the vehicle we now know as the Beetle hasn't Really altered all that much since it's Inception. It never really was a political Issue, Just a Logical attempt at Rebuild a Shattered Economy. Angel.
