Muted Friends Drama. Can I mute self?

Recently muted, banned, kicked out friend because the drama was just getting bit toxicly annoying and just too draining.
Now all my friends are saying how I should be more supportive, etc.
And I am annoyed.
Anyone have way to mute also personal drama in oneself while doing SL or detecting potential emotionally vampiric drama situations before becoming full force?
Is their a garlic script or something I don't know about?

Yeah I got one from 2/23/2003 but I don't use him much.

Maybe time to do something new with the alt then? Just for a bit?

I took a four day break from SL and the forums last week. Did wonders for me and my distorted perspective.

Check out RL once in a while. Version 1.0 still, but it's actually pretty cool.

Seriously, it was your choice and any true friend would respect that. Besides, mom always told me, "When two friends fight, you have two choices.. stay out of it or sell weapons to both sides..." If I could do the latter, I'd be rich!

Yeah maybe I rezz Dagon Grim bit more and put FD to sleep and just steal his stipend. LOL

I understand everyone has needs, some people need to be the center of attention at all moments of sluniverse a spinning around them but when one gets mad and lash out at the other person who is talking and start to act like demanding child because another friend is AFK and no one listening or interacting with her the way she demands it...Its time to do friend house cleaning.
Thanks for the advise and watching the drama of my spinning virtual life. Now I got to find another less dramatic ride it bugging me. I just want to play with prims and create.

FD - I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Sometimes you have to just weather the storm. Drama tends to blow over after a while and all you can do is try to learn to recognize it very early on and nip it in the bud or remove yourself from it if you can. Stick to your guns on this one. Or stick to Raudf's mom's guns. Let your friends know that you couldn't hande the situation and that the only way you knew to preserve your friendships was to take a break from it and destress a little. It's part of being human - we need some time away from others sometimes, just like we need time with others.

Hang in there, and if you discover that garlic script, please send me a copy. I need it myself occasionally.

I'd avoid First Life, there's more and more issues popping up with it every day, and I hear the America sims have a real nutbuster for an estate manager that heads up some FL security group that relentlessly keeps griefing other sims.

Careful Raudf... Trout is liable to try to "introduce" your mom to his mom if you're not careful!

Not to mention there's no reliable "health" indicator, you're expected to actually perform something called "work" for your weekly stipend and the lag isn't much better once you get out into rush hour traffic....
Worst of all, you can't Mute idiots and the privacy tools aren't much better than in SL.

I just want big mute for everything including first life.
I hate it when first life doesn't rezz properly and my attachments seem to keep failing.
Yet I can't find customer service or account cancel button properly and if I did I lose my inventory.

Yup, it's all about balance and perspective. At least for me. Others' needed levels of in/out will vary of course. Being mindful of the stress meter and knowing when to step away from voluntary situations once in a while can save your sanity.

And I still want to tickle your hamster.

I have a RL mute button. It's a handmade St. Croix 4wt fly rod. It took me weeks to build, and I don't think I'll ever build another - the amount of work that went into it was way beyond what I ever thought it would be, but the balance and action are absolutely perfect and it's one of my prized RL possessions. Combine it with a high mountain lake, a float tube and some waders on a beautiful day in the Fall and the silence is glorious.

Unfortunately, I have to unmute RL most of the time.

Yeah I don't think this "balance" thing is rezzing properly for me I was up 36 hours making textures and now I am really feeling it.
I think I need to take rest perhaps I find this thing called perspective too if the first life asset server rezzes it. lol

Oh, damn...I suddenly got this mental image of Trout flyfishing a stream in a Northwest forest. All green and sunbeams coming down through the trees and haze...and I want SO bad to be sitting on the bank watching, nibbling on a sandwich and listening to the water and the birdcalls.

It's a wonderful image, isn't it? I'll exempt you from the RL mute button aspect of the whole thing so you're welcome to come along. I'll bring the sandwiches. We can look for hawks and elk and just sit on a rock in the sun and listen to the river rush by. It's good for the soul. There are a few others who are mute exempt, but not many.

FD - I'm not suggesting that you go flyfishing (although we're in the same part of the world, and the fishing this time of year can be spectacular), but if you find some way to get away from everyone, break your routine and do something that forces your mind to concentrate on anything other than whatever is bugging you, things have a way of working themselves out.

I think I like your mom! Selling weapons would be a lot more amusing than trying to make both friends happy.

Good advice, although my version number is a good deal higher than 1.0.

If I were a cat, I'd probably be on version 6.0 or 7.0 by now.
