Is there a bounty for reporting gaming machines? You get a gift card to the Sex Club of your choice. _____________________

You get the self satisfaction of knowing you have made an effort to try to stop illegal activities on SL. As well as having to worry less about losing your ability to buy Ls.

The bounty that you get for turning in an AR on any remaining gambling locations is paid when the devices/club is removed, in the form of reduced lag in that sim, and more people being aboe to use the sim other than the casino addicts and camping chair/pad zombies.

I was never one to run and tell tales to the teacher, but this seems different. I logged on one day to find my land surrounded by an Ad farm, of that I could do nothing about but this I can. Is it my obligation to report it. |

Well, if it's not worth it to me to report these things, I'm just gonna let 'em go on.
They don't wanna give me anything for my time and effort, THEY can spend the energy. It's their asinine policy, so don't try to get me to help enforce it unless there's something in it for me. |

Only if the ads are for gambling.. _____________________

The prize would be the pride and joy you get from putting a bunch of dents into the side of the gaming machine leaving a imprinted new brand name of "wilson" all over it.

No bounty, but you should still AR them. Gambling is a pernicious cancer in the world, SL and RL, and should be stamped out. It's heroin for the soul basically.

On the downside if you AR them I can guarantee you won't make many friends and you'll probably end up being banned from a lot of places if you go out just looking for things to AR. _____________________

my goodness...
08-14-2007 14:51
so now the way to enjoy a virtual world is to join in the witch-hunting and impose moral and ethical judgement on others behavior...?
what a shame...it is incredible to me that Linden Lab simply wouldnt put servers in countries where gaming is legal, even on Indian reservations with gaming licenses, and host the casino's there...then why wouldnt it be the same as a cruise ship that leaves the territorial waters? and as for making a big public thing of "I'm going to AR people for things"?...sad,...pathetic and sad... that AR gambling establishment group is a bunch of prudes...leave people alone, let LL do what their lawyers tell them they must, but why be such complete jerks? _____________________

I will not tell you what I have done so I cannot be judged one way or the other. |

If you have a moral (or moralistic, which is VERY different) position about gambling, I suppose you should fink.
If not, no, let those who would arrogantly impose their values on everyone else through the force of law they get the power to control and the police power do their own dirty work. Screw 'em. |

Don't waste your time or the time of the AR system.
This is not your problem, it is LL's so let them deal with it. If they really wanted to get rid of sploders, they could simply purge all instances of them from the database. _____________________

If they really wanted to get rid of sploders, they could simply purge all instances of them from the database. That pretty much sums up my opinion on the matter, quite honestly. I see no need for me to do their job for them! _____________________
