From: Lear Cale I have a free "workspace buster" that I modified to use whatever prim is inside, and I put a 20x20x0.5 platform in it. When you rez the buster, it's just a box. You sit on it, and it goes to the height (specified in the description) and rezzes the platform, which you end up standing in the middle of. You could then duplicate that prim to make the ceiling, make the walls yourself, and texture to your heart's content.
IM me ingame if you'd like a copy. Perhaps I should put it up as a freebie in SLX.
Note: be conscious of where the boundaries on the ground are, and make sure the skybox doesn't hang over the edge. The Workspace Buster is already available as a freebie at Natalia Zelmanov's store Sirena. Good point about the land boundaries. Forgot to mention that

From: HoneyBear Lilliehook Well, it's kind of a weird thing...the vertigo I experience in RL when approaching the edge of something very high (like the 33rd floor, where I work), seems to follow in SL. If I approach an edge too fast, my stomach goes nuts and I feel dizzy. Lame, huh? Quite the opposite -- it means you're really immersed into SL. Good for you! Just remember to get up and stretch and exercise! (Says the kettle to the pot?)

LOL...I think I was fully immersed after the first week I own a 5440m parcel, a house, a horse, have a job, own two locations of my business, and my inventory hovers around 11k, most of which I need to support all of the ventures mentioned. Is it any wonder I need some place for privacy? Hm...maybe I won't even tell my hubby about it and just make damn sure it has a hot tub in it!

I always prim-out the periphery on the ground--it's just so fast to do it down there with the parcel boundaries visible. Of course, there are tools to do that with particle beams in the sky, and it should be easy anyway because borders are on 4m intervals, but I guess "old habits..."

From: Chas Connolly The Workspace Buster is already available as a freebie at Natalia Zelmanov's store Sirena. Not my version.
