Any Singaporeans playing SL here?

If you use the inworld Search function, Search Button, Groups Tab, search term Singapore, you will see a group called SL Singapore, showing 588 members, open join, with a charter that says "This is a group for the community of Singaporeans in Second Life. We welcome anyone who's interested in our small little Singaporean Second Life community. Join for free! "

Next in the list is a group called Singapore Forum, which appears to have a forum at http://www.slforum.sg.

If you use the new search tab, set to list people , search term Singapore, you will find a number of people listed.

Yes I went to that above URL you showed. But it was inactive. No people surf there. So I wonder if there is anyone here.

Did you join any of the groups listed in the groups search and use the group IM to send a hello, please contact me message?

Did you send IMs to any of the officers or other members of the groups?

Did you register for the forum and make a post?

You can create a forum signature that says "Hi, I'm looking for SL users from Singapore. Please IM me if you are from Singapore or know someone from Singapore. There's an inworld group for Singaporeans, maybe you'd like to join, or maybe we can get some action going at the http://www.slforum.sg forums. "

Or something to that effect.

Have you done a Google blog search for "Second Life" Singapore ?

Just that if I can get to know some Singaporeans here, I can try to meet up with them to learn. Gain experience from them too.

But apparently not many Singaporeans are playing.

Aw shame. I'd like to meet some Singaporeans too. I was there a couple of years back briefly on a stopover on the way to Aus. Way off topic, but can I just say that you have a wonderful city and the people I met there were amongst the warmest and friendliest I have ever encountered. I even hooked up with someone who is now a good 'pen pal'. She's cool.

A group inside SL?

If so, people offline won't see the message - only people who are online at the time that you sent them message will see it.. That and, in theory anyway, once you close that tab on your Communicate window, you won't see any replies from that session...

You can drop notecards to group officers or members, they'll get them when they next log in.

I hope you find some Avatars from your home country.
When I joined I tried to join several groups I thought were interesting.
I pretty much experienced the same thing, no response, even the few times I did contact the group owners most I got was hello and nothing else.
The problem with busier groups is if you're concentrating on building or something else important you get bombarded by tons of instant messages from no where at the worse moments.

Hi Bryan, do a search under groups for "SL Singapore", and join it for free. Can't recall offhand, but I think we have like 400-ish Singaporeans under that group?
