I know this message will tend to be off topic, but somehow I will get a question in it...

Well, I will be leaving SL. I have just cleared out my land, sold it and next I will be downgrading my account.

Why? Many reasons come to mind...

No, this has nothing to do with the VAT-changes for Europeans. As made clear here on these forums I a big supporter of VAT as we know it here in Europe.

As may have been noticed I wasn't nearly anymore here on the forums (while I used to be a regular here) and my time online in SL was reduced to close to zero as well.
Main reason for this is my health (some of you may know I had health problems the last months). Doctors are doing everything they can, but still they have no explanations for these heavy fever attacks I have and for the pains I have.
So there is one reason to leave SL.... to concentrate more on my health and the persons around me who I love (mainly my partner and my daughter).

But there is more... the world of "Your world, your imagination" I learned to know almost 3 years ago is gone. Some where in the last year it died. The magic is gone. I cannot explain why exactly, but it what I feel.

The community has changed as well... not for better or for worse, just changed. And somehow I didn't change along.

And so there are more things to mention. But that is all unimportant now.

Yes, I will miss my spot and house in Maia. Maia used to be a great sim. But well, ad farms, ban lines, rude people have found their way there as well

. And yet, it was my home for almost 3 years.

My gallery has been taken down as well. But AuroKyo Insoo (a good friend) asked for some things I made for her own gallery. I gave her the two things I loved most. She can decide what she wants to do with it.
Also I paid Mar Dwi of SLACC (Second Life Art Community Centre) a nice amount of L$ to keep my exhibition there up for a longer time.
So the things I made will be around for some time

And before anyone gets in a funny mood... no, you cannot have my stuff!

Morwen I had indeed noticed you were not around.

There have been a lot of changes, and any time away is hard to acclimatise to, however if you're ill it is doubly so. I hope when you are feeling better you'll come back, lightly, and see if the place is more to what you expect.

It will have changed even more but there will doubtlessly still be some people around who will be delighted to see you.

Morwen, that was such a sweet and heartfelt goodbye. Although I was not fortunate enough to meet you personally, I enjoyed your comments on these forums.
