I looked, I saw may two plots that I like and I think everyone else saw them too. If I had seen Zindra when I was looking for land, I would not have given it any consideration at all.

It looks like a huge beach. Not very tantalizing. Bu I did meet a guy (NOT a newb) there and we did what Zindra is designed for so it cant be THAT boring.

BT I agree - bland, boring, and the so-called SF theme is really tacky. As for the 1-prim sculpty trees, they look like mashed vegetables that have been fed through a sausage-making machine ![]() |

Haven't been to Zindra yet, but reading this, I'm wondering if Zindra's developers were told to make it nice, but not too nice?
If LL were to create a surpassingly beautiful continent, would there be an outcry about unfair competition from the same over-250-sims-class that LL is attempting to woo? *muses* . |

The plastic roads with the prim line in the middle are awfull, they are also useless for vehicles since you can't turn with that prim line in the middle.

If LL were to create a surpassingly beautiful continent, would there be an outcry about unfair competition from the same over-250-sims-class that LL is attempting to woo? *muses* . They were probably told to not worry too much about small detailed landscaping, since a lot of the place will probably be flattened in a matter of weeks anyway. So it's just infrastructure, about 4 hot spot buildings (3 dams and a monorail station), and some piers at the beach (I think I saw 2 or 3 of those. No freebee though )I would've liked some additional (protected land!) streams apart from the rivers, and maybe a few small lakes. Zindra would be an ideal place to experiment with lakes, using homestead or open space sims in the middle of normal sims to set an example of their proper usage. |

I went to Zindra yesterday and I thought it was attractive - maybe not in a pictureque way, but like a bold new town. Some of the buildings look odd, but in an imaginitive way. The only think I think might need a rethink is the glowy ground level lights on the roadways - glow needs to be reduced a bit.

Funny you should say that, 'cause 'plastic' was the word that sprang to mind about the whole continent. The only place I found even remotely attractive was the rocky outcrops at Tyrell Prime. |

Zindra is huge. Sandy beaches, green grassy hills, woods. Cities, parks, bridges, power plants. Lots of sims/regions.
I thought it was very pretty and I was hardly cheering this whole development. A few pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29408371@N07/sets/72157619845522012 ETA: Someone mentioned the road divider prims: Everyone there did seem to dislike the road dividers, though. Maybe because most people were using vehicles to race around to explore with I'm unsure what the road dividers are for, since no one can (normally) rez cars to actually drive Linden roads with. So what will be on the Zindra roads? Buses, maybe? Streetcars might be cool. ![]() Not all the roads have those annoying divider prims yet. I'm sure they are there to prevent people crashing into one another but again...since you can't rez in most places to actually drive the car to begin with...(I think all Linden roads should have little rez areas.) I kept hitting the dividers and flipping the car. ![]() _____________________

It's not that bad. It's a blank slate with a few props in place. I was pleasantly surprised (if you leave out the fact that I wanted to see green living demos). Expected it to be cold and dark.
It wouldn't make sense to develop the whole area.....that's what YOU will be doing. |
