Installed a new video card (NVidia 7600GS AGP). I'm experiencing some very bad video artifacts. I have uninstalled my old video drivers, run DriverCleaner Pro, and reinstalled the latest NVidia drivers.

When I start SL, this is what the login screen looks like:

Yikes.

Suggestions?

Allow me to offer sympathy while we wait for someone who can help to come along. You poor thing! How frustrating.

Regarding your drivers: did you get them from Nvidia, or from the company that made your computer (e.g. Dell, Gateway, etc?)

Also, check out this thread for suggestions:

My computer is a cobbled together collection, from no particular manufacturer.

I got the latest drivers from NVidia's site.

Will do, thanks.

Almost looks like too much heat. Try closing some of them other programs you have running and with the side of the case off once.

I've got that too, but it is not heat. Its been only since the last update and it is only on SL. I will have the dagger fragments all over the SL screen and every other program, window, web site etc is perfectly ok. My card is an older ATI. Ive talked to some others who also have had this problem since the last update too.

Try turning off Vertical Sync

I just upgraded to the exact same card and I'm having the exact same issue. It's like watching an old film. And the occasional spiky thing coming out of avs. I feel it's an SL issue because all my other 3D apps run great. Infact, better than I have ever seen.

But SL... it runs nice... except for these damn screen artifacts.
