question for shape makers

I have noticed some shape ads have the breast as a cup size
is there some formula or sliding scale to match up the slider # to a breast cup size or are they just kinda guessing?

Most of them subscribe to my breast sizing service, wherein I take a look at them topless, and using several fruits from Kiwi's to watermelons, I give a surprisingly accurate estimation of breast cup size. I also use the sliders to adjust my hand size so that a more accurate number can be obtained.

Shape makers wishing to subscribe to this service can contact me inworld. First pair of boobs are free.

you are incorrigible Trout

LOL

I think I will pass this time (and still waiting for someone to give me an idea, either that or the new ads just will not show breast cup size) besides they are mod/copy so don't think it really matters does it?

I'd suggest opening a few porn sites that list profile info, and just eyeball it. If the ones on the shape match the ones on the model, you got a good idea of cup size.

no thanks, do not need my pc to get a ton of pc viruses

I will just skip the bust cup size measurement and only put the height

It kind of has to be a guess, those measurements don't even work in RL!

LOL Trout. :p

As a shape maker I don't even bother trying to define the cup sizes. I make the shapes modifiable anyway. Honestly...as a female, I can pretty much look at proportions and guess a cup size.....but who really cares. In SL... the size range is so varied that probably we'd need a few more cups anyway. ;)

Rhaorth, i don't know for certain, but i make all my own shapes. i would never buy one when i can do it myself.

trying to be as true to RL as possible, i would name a size based on how it looks 'from afar' and label the cup size form there based on personal RL experience. i don't think there is any other way to do it, and while i predict that everyone has a different eye for actual size, i'd say that if they are looking exceptionally disporportioned, they are liekly DD or bigger. almost flat will be a B.

Big but not obnoxious a D. something just right, a C.

i don't think it's even possible to make an A cup with a female avatar.

hope this helps.

It's possible. The shape will go full flat at 0. My main shape is set to 2. We just have to be careful of what shirts and skins we buy. Most textures are shaded to assume breasts unless you're into overly pastel kids clothes. (=_=)

My clothing collection is growing quite large from my wanderings... Some do better than others. But I'm walking proof that it can be done. (^_^)y

To be honest,

I think the ones who do measurement related things just make them up.

You cant really make a measuring tape in SL.

Rha, I agree with Colette.

The shape designer holds their thumb up to the screen, squints and eyeballs it, throws in a fuge factor, adds or subtracts a pixel or two comes up with a cup size.

Trout's method is probably more fun...

If we can't have a cloth measuring tape in SL, how about a laser scanner or an interative sculptie shape generator to match form shape and come up with a number?

I'm curious how he calculates nipple size.

hehe yep I was thinking that too, maybe it is eyeballing it
even though I am female I am not good at guessing cup sizes (even when shopping for a bra I always grab the wrong one)

thanks for the replies folks, I think I will just skip that part (and yes I do make them mod/copy so folks can tweak as they like)

As a shapemaker, I'd have to agree with the other shape makers here. There's nothing set in stone.. er.. mammory tissue here. I just try the keep the digits proportionate and uniform from shape to shape (i.e. Pamela Anderson DD size boobies would be 70+ whilst Keira Knightly AA-size boobies might be around 50ish). Best thing is search for a modifiable shape if you want to make your boobies bigger or smaller as your mileage and bra size may vary shape-to-shape.

not looking for shapes

am selling them, but have noticed other shape makers have put the bust size on their ads and was wondering if there was some set in stone bust size = slider size kinda table thing.

but, it seems from the replies there is not :)

so on that note, I shall not put the bust size and let ppl adjust if they so desire
(just need to redo the ad picks)

did not want to start a new thread so gonna post it here

this is my new ad layout, is there anything missing (I do not put prices on the ads, saves trouble if I have sales or drop prices down the road)

my actual ad is bigger (this is downsized to not cause the forums to scroll to the side)

I tried to show a front view back view clothed view (as apposed to just the bikini) and the front face shot and semi profile

hopefully I covered all aspects (also being they are mod copy makes it nice to be able to make those little changes

*blink*

So virtually every woman in my family is exceptionally - and naturally - disproportionate? Because, you know, we've got the hips and shoulders to match...

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I think you've got what you need. If I were looking for a shape, I'd want to see the face especially, since, for me at least, that's the most difficult part to make, and then a front and back shot of the body. The clothed pic is a nice addition.

I like the face on your shape - the nose is really nice.

Edit - my serious opinion on people advertising breast size is that it's a gimmick. Obviously from the posts here there is no way to measure size exactly, and people are just guessing. They add it to their ads to help their marketing, not to be an exact indication of breast size.

until that time though I think omitting that is the way I will go

Well you could use a non airbrushed nude model for whom you knew height, weight, measurements and cup size and carefully copy her figure as close as SL would allow.

This would give you a half decent comparison for that particular set of circumstances.

I guess if you did that for all the typical off the rack cup sizes you could then make sculpty prims to match the sizes of the resulting breasts ..

Allowing you to compare to other breasts of similar levels of buoyancy.

Seems like a lot of work for very little benefit.

Blake was the first Shape Maker who advertised cup sizes, which were obviously completely wrong because his shapes were reproductions of famous actresses .... but on a 7 foot scale.

Of course this is the guy who thinks women like Pamela Anderson are "Full-figured"

They are out there .. I think its far more appealing for people to have nature's curves than the curves a photoshop magician can change a celebrity into having, lol.

One reason why I never did a "Angelina Jolie/ Beyonce/ etc / etc" shape set. Can't get those ones untouched up lol.
