Nude Pictures in profiles?

I have come across a profile with nude images in it and was wondering are we allowed to have those in our profiles?

All profiles are supposed to be PG, so I would say definitely no. In theory, if you wanted to (although personally I can't imagine why you would) you could AR it.

Judging from the fashion sense of some I've met in SL, I suspect that nude pictures might in some cases be a lot less offensive than RL pics of them fully clothed . . .

Profiles are supposed to be PG. Most folks don't pay any attention to the photo's, BUT you do run a risk of getting in trouble for them if you have them.

That being said.. a tasteful nude should be fine..its the blatant pr0n type that will get you in trouble

(Logically though, since we are not mind readers, we cannot determine beforehand what they might deem to violate those conditions, short of filing a support ticket with the item attached and asking)

Having said that, if the meeting revealed anything, it revealed the the policy on what's allowed in profiles and what isn't is by way of being a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; Blondin has promised to seek clarification for us, so let's see what happens next.

As a trial, all the females who posted in this thread should put RL nudes in their profiles. Phil and I will judge them.

Emerald has made that particularly unsafe now since any one using it can grab the full size texture of the pic you place in your RL or SL profile pic slots.

Not wishing to sound un-jignified but it is your REAL self your putting out there in 1st life. Don't do it. In real, only pose for money. When bfs ask for a pic, they'll only sell it to the highest bid. And don't put it on sl - it's slutty.

Truly, I think women will avoid presenting themselves in this format. I dont disapprove of modelling in the nude - I've done it in real and never felt "cheap". But I suggest you take this young lady in hand Chris. You may do her some good.

And honestly, I wouldn't risk a nude image of either myself or my avatar on my profile. Just because BLONDIN didn't have a problem with it, doesn't mean that another Linden won't.

I try to be very strictly PG in Second Life (except for language), but I've seen a few nude profile pics. Of the ones I've seen, I'd guess that the majority were very artfully done and not offensive in any way. Even the very few that I thought were offensive didn't seem worth an AR. It's just not that big a deal.
