I'm a vampire and I don't wanna be....

Okay, so its not me, its my husband. Let me explain:
He openned his first SL account yesterday. I ran out to the grocery store, came back, and he was a vampire.
He is a brand new player and didn't really know what he was doing. After having everything explained to him 'after the change' he realized he was screwed. We looked around the Grid together, did a few tutorials and I showed him some basics. We ran into a pack of 'wearwolves', and they informed him he showed up as a 'vampire' on a 'scan'. Not realizing that it was more involved than just roleplay, he doesn't want to be a vampire and doesn't know how to 'take it off'.
So...I suggested he pop over to Help People Institute and see if they could help him figure out how to 'get it off' of himself. No one seemed to know how to help him.

Any suggestions or help? Anything would be good at this point.

He proly accepted one of the Bloodlines spamires bite offer. It's really no biggie to many and a huge nightmare to others- search the forum for Bloodlines- there is tons of info on it. Good luck and welcome to SL

Honestly, does that really work. I let my brother bite me once not realizing the ramifications. If it does work then I don't mind spending the money.

This is a game called "Bloodlines" that some people play in SL. Your husband is not "really" a vampire. This only has validity in the context of the Bloodlines game, and not in SL as a whole at all.

You can get that garlic necklace to take your name off the Bloodlines database...but my advice would be just to ignore it. If you run across any other Bloodlines players...vampires, vampire hunters, or whatever...just tell them you don't want to play and to get lost.

Dont have to spend anything, the garlic necklaces are given away for free.

I found it difficult not to snicker mischeviously while reading this. Maybe I would have thought the same thing when I newly born though.

Ahh, one thing though. Be sure your husband keeps his envirnment settings on midnight or his character will be deleted.

this happened at sine wave island.

i was working for a club and this guy wanted me to interview this girl..
it was a friend so i figured i would take the teleport..most times theywould pop to my house..

so i go there and i'm standing there like..ooookay so how long have you.........
before i can ask the first question..This girl is doing a bite on my friend..i sat there and watch the chat as it said something like..checking to see if this person belongs to anyone and all this other creepy stuff..

so finally i said hell with this..i have work to do and just left..
i thought that was just creepy with them all in this room.no clothes on and bites going on..

is that any way to ask for a job??

I've been shopping for freebies for my alts (Yes, my poor alts only get freebies). I can't believe the number of times I've been offered a bite. It's pretty sad for the poor newbies like your husband. I hope the garlic helps.

Sorry to hear your husband encountered one of those idiots. Cheree Bury makes a wonderful lil item for those moments when one gets those "bite requests." It's little wearable animated item that starts by asking (person) for a hug - like a typical hug animation.

EXCEPT! That when the person accepts the "hug", a silver stake appears, is driven into the vampire and they do a die animation and actually disappear underground. LOVE IT!

Check out her name in world for her shop location...I *think* she sells them there. If you don't see it, give her a shout. It might be a freebie...not sure.

I've been waiting for one of those Bloodlines peeps to try to bite me and then say...well, first you have to give me a hug and STAKE IN THE HEART...mwhwhahahahahaha.
