Since we lost Strife as our mod, we've taken a real plunge. Linden "assigned" a LInden staff member as our moderator, but I have yet to see any comments from that person in this forum.

Get 503's frequently the last couple of weeks. As expected, not a single word from whoeverruns this board. The Lindens have learned not to say 'RESOLVED' unless they want tons of dictionaries sent to them with the word highlighted.
It is usually worse when the load increases, so it then starts affecting the login screen (I've had the 503 from when the thing tries to load the blog headings) and bogs every thing down. It's driving me 503 and if the webpage worked correctly, I think I'd have a heart attack. _____________________

It is not rocket science to most to keep a web site and forums up without 503s. So far my experience with LL has been nothing but excuses and continued errors, blogs about mistakes followed by more excuses. |

Skinnerian Intermittent reinforcement. They keep us on extinction, while tinkering with our gullivers? Give and take away reinforcement. "Results of basic research have demonstrated that behavior (paying them) maintained on an intermittent schedule of reinforcement will be extinguished more slowly than behavior maintained on a continuous schedule (non-intermittent basis)." |

I wonder if Aki actually is still charged with Moderating. She's a ninja mod. She sent me a warning email for a post I made which was a little critical of Linden Lab. But I think it was locked more because it was seen as trolling rather than criticizing. But I admit, I do sometimes tend to walk a fine line between the two.  If I had blatantly criticized LL then I probably would've been fine. It's the way that I choose to do it that probably annoys them.It seemed odd because I got the email weeks after making the post. I reckon Strife warned her about my evil ways and so now she does a monthly check on me.  But still, I'm much happier with our current moderator. I'd much rather be banned outright than be annoyed to death by a moderator that locks threads on the turn of a dice. |
