Chat History

I have 'log chat history" clicked, but i don't know how to find the history.

also, i cannot locate anyplace that tells me wut the time limits are.

can someone please point me in the proper direction to locate this sort of information? thanks in advance.

I use a Mac ('User' -> Library -> Second Life -> Isabeau Imako -> Chat text).

What do you mean by "time limits"

on my WinXP system they are here-

"C:\Documents and Settings\''your windows logon name etc..''\Application Data\SecondLife"

in there should be a folder named after your av with the chat logs inside it.

EDIT-by 'time limit' if you mean do the logs get deleted after a certain time then no they don't. and when you install a new version of SL it will still write to the same logs.

Edit / Preferences, Communication tab

The edit box at the bottom will have the location of where chat is being saved for you, or you can change it to something easier to access .

(Edited to add that the main viewer and the new RC don't share the chat log folder setting, so if you use both and save chat in a custom folder, make sure you set it in both viewers or things will get confusing)
