/me moans to Figtree Fig, my waterfalls have got no spray. Fig: Here, have one of mine. *gives Lindal a nice spray emitter object*
/me claps hands in glee. /me puts spray objects at base of waterfalls.
/me looks around a few minutes later and the spray is gone. /me checks to make sure she has her Group tag on
I think that my spray has gone wherever Sideways goes when he disappears.

Hm, you really need to put those finder thingies on your stuff. You know, the kind that reacts to whistling...
Maybe sideways ate your spray...? *ponders*

I'm surprised Mr. Figgums didn't mention the "particles petering out" problem to you! /327/11/206950/1.htmlAlthough in this case you still might see the occasional weak spray. To help determine which the problem is, can you tell if the particle emitter object is still there, just not emitting? Or is the emitter object itself gone? (The emitter is the prim that contains the particle script.) If the emitter was small and maybe transparent, it might be hard to find. Turn on "highlight transparent" and beacons for particles, then look very closely around the area you dropped the emitter object.

Yes, that sort of thing seems to be it. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not.
By the way, the firepit that Fig mentioned in your reference...We both looked at it at the same time. To me, it was burning merrily away. To Fig, the fire was out. So it sounds like it's something in the client side.

So it sounds like it's something in the client side. Yep, definitely client side... not unexpected, as particle rendering is entirely client side to my knowledge. Look for the JIRA link in Ray's thread. The discussion there is pretty technical, but will give you some idea of what's going on. And definitely vote on it to get fixed!
