Woot we have our forum :) Welcome everyone and thanks for everyones efforts so far. Our next plan is organising the structure of the Guild, deciding our plans and voting on the logo.
We will discuss each of these in seperate posts. Just use this thread to say hello and celebrate. :D

Hello everyone, I was just notified yesterday that I am part of some list that is being passed around among store owners, and am being called a thief. I would like to take this opportunity to try and explain that I am a victim as well in this entire ordeal. So I will start from the beginning and work my way through to the end.

Ok first of all I used to own a 2nd hand Clothing Store called New 2 You, I sold outfits from boxes that I made that had my store logo on them. The outfits that were sold there were original outfits from original designers and were sold as non copiable items, just as they were purchased from the original designer. I would go to yard sales, find cheap outfits and resell them for a little bit more at my shop. Once again, these were NON-COPIABLE items, meaning when the person purchased something from me, they would have to pick up the box and take it into inventory. OK, Now, the box that I made and sold these outfits from had full mods on it, which was a HUGE mistake on my behalf. Ok now for part 2...

About 3 weeks ago I was confronted by one of the top clothing designers and was accused of stealing her textures and reselling them. Ive since then cleared things up with her and she believes I was just as much a victim in all this as she was, let me expalin what happened there....

She took me to the infamous yard sale of "JD" Ill use initials, Im sure you all know who Im referring to, at this yard sale, JD had my boxes from New 2 You for sale with her cheap knock offs of top designer works. The reason the top designer came after me was because when you looked at the property of the contents in the boxes it said the creator was nobody, so she then looked at the creator of the box, which was me, and assumed it was me who was making all these knock offs, even though JD owned the box and was the one selling it. JD has since then taken down all these boxed knock off clothes from her yard sale after being confronted by a number of designers, and myself as well.

Ok now there is the issue with the furniture being sold there. While I was there at the yard sale I noticed a set of furniture for sale that had me named as the creator! I recognized the design and immediately IM'd the person who made the original set ( It was Xandi Mars of Del Sol Open Market) and tp'd her directly to the furntiure and showed her. I did not make this furniture, I dont even make furniture, I make shoes, jewelry and a few simple prim dresses. Now I have two valid points to make here regarding this furniture, A) If I did in fact make the furniture and was trying to profit from it, why would I IM the original maker of the furniture and show her , and B) If I was trying to make a profit off this furniture, dont you think I would be selling it at my store somewhere?

"Why does it have you named as creator then?" Well this is what I have come up with, since JD aquired one of my full perm boxes from New 2 you, I am assuming that when she built the furniture, she used my full perm box to build the furniture off of, so when she linked it together from my prim, it put my name as the creator, Another example of this, at the yard sale, you will notice a red living room set there, and if you look at the creator it says "Craig Altman" who we all know DOES not make furniture, he does however make and sell copiable poseballs, so they got a hold of one of his full perm poseballs and when they linked it to the furniture it put his name as creator. Please go and see for yourselves, I beg of you.

I have personally confronted JD, she refuses to listen to reason and see that what she is doing is wrong , and how she is dragging me down with her. I am an honest person, I work hard in SL to try and make a name for myself and promote my shoes, I would never do something like this, and I know you all dont know me, but I just about hit the floor when I found out last night that my name is being passed around to be added to ban lists because of what JD is doing.

Im sorry this is such a long winded post, I just had a lot to say and hope that you all realize that I am not involved or associated with these poeple. There is also a post about this scam, on another web site, Ill post it here for you all to see. Please believe me when I say that I am not a part of this foul play and I do hope that some of you believe in me. It's unfortunate you've been dragged into this, but I believe your post clarifies things.

On a personal note, I've had dealings with the 'initials' you mention and I'm here to tell you that this individual is not reasonable or rational.... you however appear to be both.
