From: DBDigital Epsilon I agree that is VERY anoying. I am glad I am not the only one this being driven crazy with this.
-DB What is you opinion on the picture-dropping-away animation?

From: SuezanneC Baskerville What is you opinion on the picture-dropping-away animation? Not even NEARLY as annoying as the flash, or as the fact there is no way to update your world view without dropping out of snapshot, and losing the settings back to the rather silly defaults.

Yeh, they shouldn't dump your settings at least as long as you're still logged in, that's just daft. I hope they fix that before Wed.

From: SuezanneC Baskerville What is you opinion on the picture-dropping-away animation? Anoying. But the most anoying part about 1.11 is the blurry UI text. All the menus, history, inventory etc is very hard to read. They do recongize this as a bug at least and I HOPE plan to fix it before it is released. I would also like a option to have it with a preview snapshot like we have now. Sometimes timing is critical and if you miss now you just hit the button to take another snapshot. With 1.11 you have to close the snapshot then open it again. And at timing crititical moments...that is ANOYING to say the least. Those extra seconds can mean the difference between getting the shot and not. The new features are great for still lifes where you have all the time in the world, but NOT for candid/live shots. -DB

Lets suppose you open the snapshot dialog and the resolution displayed is 1024 by 768.
You want to get a picture that shows the interface and will fit in the forums properly, so you want to change the resolution to half of 1024 which I know is 512 by half of 768 which is - guess what, I don't know that by heart.
In many programs the computer would be able to do the calculation for you. Microsoft Paint, Photoshop, Photopaint, Paintshop Pro, Gimp, Irfanview - all these can deal with this.
Typically this is done with a Lock symbol next to the resolutions; engage the lock and the resolution value you don't change is automatically adjusted to keep the picture the same shape based on the value that you do change; disengage the lock and you can distort the shape to your little hearts desire.

If you set the resolution values while you have, say, the email option selected, and change to save to disk, the resolution values change back to the value they had when you first opened the dialog. I'd prefer that it keep the settings I entered until I enter different ones.
Also it should remember whether you last selected save as texture, send email, or save to disk.
Also it should remember the last email address you entered. I get so tired of typing pics@slpics.com. In fact I will go beyond remembering the last one and say it should remember the last 5 email addresses you've used and have them in a combo-box.

Please include image properties in the details field. It would be nice to know at a glance what settings you used on an image
And yes, the white flash needs to have a toggle on / off

I really don't like this new snapshot interface. I like everything minimal and compact. The snapshot previews using the whole screen now. >.< I guess il be using the print screan button and pasting them into paint from now on. :/ Please add a preview window like this and make fullscreen OPTIONAL...

From: DBDigital Epsilon The new features are great for still lifes where you have all the time in the world, but NOT for candid/live shots. just like the "HUD in Snapshots" feature, which showed up unheralded, and was never fixed in the old interface (hiding HUDs before you take a snap is NOT the solution).

I don't care much for the fullscreen preview as it's done. Some other way of showing a fullscreen preview might be alright. I was going to say more but they closed the preview. Later.

From: DBDigital Epsilon most anoying part about 1.11 is the blurry UI text. All the menus, history, inventory etc I hadn't really noticed the UI as being blurry in normal use; have they fixed this since you made this comment?

Argent, I agree that is one thing that the old interface sorely missed. And I never understood why LL didn't add a option to the snapshot interface to turn off HUD's in the snapshot and remember that setting (similar show UI in next snapshot). I don't know of ANYONE that wants their huds in a snapshot, unless they want the whole UI interface which is what the UI in next snapshot is for.
Suezanne, they hadn't fixed the blurry UI when it was 1.11 but now I see they have put in 1.10.6 and removed the scalable UI which seems to have removed the problem as well. I am surprised that you didn't see it as I couldn't stand staying in 1.11 preview for any length of time before getting eyestrain. But perhaps some monitors/cards are better than others. By any chance do you use a CRT monitor?
I am glad LL decided that 1.11 was not ready yet rather than blindly going though with the upgrade. I applaud their decision in this.
