New Parcel Object Blocking Feature ??

A VERY BAD IDEA

The Beta Release notes for 1.13 include:

* Parcel owners can block objects from entering their parcels

How high in altitude will this blocking function operate??

According to a Linden Answers Forum thread this ban will operate to an infinitly high altitude!!

I am concerned about the effect of this option on flying aircraft in SL. If it would operate to block objects at altitudes say above 100 meters it could kill flying aircraft in SL.

It sounds like most parcel owners would enable this option to prevent projectiles of various kinds from entering their land. If so, and if it were to have effects at higher altitudes above ground level, it would ruin whatever enjoyment is left to flying (after the problems with Sim border crossings and security fences).

Is Linden Labs now taking its cue from the now discredited Presidency of George Bush by placing resident "security" above our personal in-world freedoms ??
