Another machinima video. =)

This one is of some scenes at a rental property, Serenity Acres
in Second Life.

No story, just a promotional. The production process continues
to be refined. FRAPS capture. Clip trimming with Virtual Dub.
Editing in Premiere Pro 2.0, Frameserving to Virtual Dub to Xvid
then conversion to Flash (FLV), and also, following AWM's lead,
transcoding to h264/mp4, quicktime, which while resulting in
a larger file size, the quality is outstanding.

These sort of videos in addition to providing a historical view
also offer a way to express the art and emotion of the SL
experience and environment even to those who have never
ventured into Second Life.

High rez Quicktime (recommended):

or Blip.tv Flash version (lower bandwidth/quality but still OK)...

Another excellent movie again. I partictularily liked the panning shots with the widescreen format, giving the feel of a fisheye lens, it is really smooth, clean and a good directional concept.

You seem to have the quality movie version streaming well. I'm not a lover of the H.264/MP4 combination, but whatever works, which it certainly seems to. The quality version is a portrayal of the quality of your work.

The nice touch at the end of you relaxing in the tree, adds a little something to the movie, great close.

yeah... just a iddy biddy comment.

You have the American flag on the wrong way

That ruined the movie for me. At least fix it in game.

OH NO..... I can tell you as a machinimast, you become soooo focused, it is so easy to miss things like that.... It is very rare that I ever publish the first preview version I produce... I sometimes slap my head and say 'wow, how did I miss that?' To my knowlwdge, the easiest flag to get upside down is the United Kingdom Flag. I have seen it at RL official events upside down. I guess thats why RL Flag manufactures put a short rope at the top, and the long rope at the bottom to overcome that.

Haha...Snoopy!

I totally agree with you. I noticed that when I was shooting it.
The flag is actually correct on the other side. I assume the owner
didn't notice it.

I just went ahead and kept the shot.

But what's worse!, is that it's Serendipity Acres, not Serenity Acres.

So I corrected that, and since I was at it, reshot the opening scene
(which came out 100% better), and removed the backwards flag
scene.

Thanks for the feedback.

And thanks AWM for your comments. Appreciate it!

And the much better Quicktime version is the same (overwritten):

Great camera work - very smooth - and you've an excellent eye. Didn't realize I was watching an ad until the end - Sneaky!

Actually... its not sneaky, its advertising in its purest form. If you feel as though you have been entertained, then the Director(s) have acheived their goal.
