Drama aside, I am a film addict in SL. I have a private screening room 650 meters above my island and over 20 feature films scatterred about. I like the idea that everyone can watch what they want without disturbing others (this is great for the porn addicts) but we do like to have 'movie night' with th egroup and intercat together while we all watch the film together. I will have to check this out to see what capabilities it has to engage a audience that is viewing together. Perhaps a channel we all log onto to see a film - while the porn addicts use a different private channel.

It is true that you were developing a similar system in concept, and that we did indeed spend many hours talking about advantages, deployment and a way to build it into our business model. However, when measured in SL time, that was a lifetime ago. In the past 6-8 months, I met up with some great guys who own a RL company, that had a similar system. We bought into their system and they adapted part of their system to suit the media activities of our group of companies, including introducing a sensor in each screen/player that triggers the movie as the viewer walks past and will come with a HUD that plays any media right across SL (yours if I remember correctly, works upto 96 mtrs outside a sim?).

This was done months after I was emailing you, IMing you, and chating in game. I did say at that time, there were 2 other companies all doing something similar and I needed some commitment, which you couldn't give me based on RL commitments. Even now, your system isn't up and running. 'Time and Tide waits for no man' was a phrase I quoted you way back then.

The award for the system was based on what was the first to the market and provided a system that could actually do what it said on the box. It only 'resembles' your system, and in no way should be referred to as being the same. I have never had insight as to how your system works, the scripting and mechanics of the whole thing, remained within your grasp. That would be like comparing cars, on the basis they have a wheel in each corner (except 3 wheelers lol).

Anyway, as you can see, the market place for this type of system has already established itself, and I do wish you well with your endeavours and hope you find a niche for yourself. You are a clever guy without doubt. I hope someday, when you have the time to spend, to meet up with you and perhaps do business.

It's OK man, I'm not having a dig. Well, not an angry one anyway, I know what happens when you discuss an idea with someone who REALLY wants it but never follow up on it. I still don't have much time but if you remember I was off work last year for three months while I developed a lot of our scripts. I will again be off work for three-six months as of the beginning of October, hopefully I will get all of my concepts out by then!
