Can you? I've got myself in a pickle when I filmed a wedding and left the text in at the request of the couple. They wanted spontaneous comments recorded. Now I have video with toolbars in it. Is there anyway to remove them now (she asks without much hope)?

Thank you, folks, for any help you can give me...

If you select any clip, and click the white square that appears in the far right of that clip, this will open the Pan/Crop window. You can adjust the size of the clip window that will be 'seen', hence the name Crop..... you can also move that crop window around the scene, using keyframes in the timeline box at the lower section of the Pan/Crop window.. that is called Ken Burns Technique, although orginally developed for still photography, it is very useful in machinima, or any digital movie processes. An example of a machinima using stills as content, using the Ken Burns technique (and a few special effects), see here /278/18/285908/1.html#post2172796

If you struggle with these things, Vegas has a 'show me how' set of short, but very useful, tutorials built into the interface. The icon for 'Show me how' is on the top toolbar. My hat off to Sony, for creating a very easy way to reduce the learning curve of the Vegas software.
