Per this announcement , please post here if you are interested in being considered for the first round of Resident Forum Moderators. The Community team has already nominated several possible candidates for the first round of the Resident Forum Moderators and we are also accepting volunteers. Please post to this thread if you are interested in being part of the Resident Forum Moderation Team. Volunteers will be notified shortly if they are selected. Volunteers for the first round will be accepted until Wed., January 18.

Jeska, this sounds like it could actually work well. i remember hearing about this months ago and i wondered how it might be implemented and after reading the announcement, it appears to have covered the bases well.

i was wondering about something though.. will there be a way for residents to rate ResMods? either with a function similar to thread rating or perhaps with a new forum that wouldn't allow new threads by residents, but instead would feature one thread per ResMod where any SLer could go and comment as they see fit. thus, LL would have a resource readily available to see what the community's opinion is on any given ResMod.

Nailati has a good point, will ResMods be able to make "sticky" threads? either newly created by themselves and/or those already created by residents?

and yes, i'll volunteer as well. not sure if it's a smart move, but it seems like an interestnig one! (is there any way to request NOT to be given the daunting task of General? lol..)

I would like to submit myself as a possible volunteer for this experiment. As you know, I'm a proponent of user-led governmental systems and that includes moderation.

Granted I'm a firecracker in the forums, however, I have no problem with wearing two hats (as evidenced by the great disparity between my SL and RL personalities). I'm also currently a moderator in the Neualtenburg Projekt forum and have an excellent record.

I would provide you with exemplary service.
