Hey y'all
not sure if this is the right forum for this, but...
Walking round SL, I have seen some beautiful gardens and parklands. Could I impose upon people who own and / or have created such spaces to post their sim. location and a little about them here.
Just for reference for me to go and look at and for new and old users who want to seek out those quiet slices of paradise.
=====
I'll start off by welcoming you all to my place:
Mars Japanese Gardens Albion (99,131)
I've designed a park garden along a Japanese theme. It is not a formal Japanese garden in the very ornate sense but rather a Japanese country park, inspired by the likes of Nara Park.
includes: Shinto gates (torii), a Buddhist Jizo wayside shrine, some little goodies inspired by the films of Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Totoro, Princess Mononoke) and a Zen pebble garden.
In constant development. IM me in world if you want a guided tour!
Over to you!

Canyonlands
At ground level, it's approximately 1000 m2 of dense pine forest along the river in Davenport. 150 meters higher up, there's a floating garden among the clouds.

If you need trees, plant, flowers, garden decorations for your gardens and parks, I have hundreds of free textures in boxes at Sage 100, 100. There are more than 100 tree textures alone. The freebie boxes are set to copy, but some people are unable to copy because of the permissions bug. If you can't copy the boxes of textures, try buy for $1. Thanks, Candie P.S. Gorgeous gardens, Kei

Kissling Park (Kissling 15,75)
The work of sia Sunchaser (you remember her exceptional undersea gardens) and CrazyMonkey Feaver.
Features over 10,000 sq. m. of dedicated park land surrounded by mountains, ocean and the river.
Come, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of teeming wildlife, cascading waterfalls, birds singing, and the occasional butterfly. The gazebo is the perfect place to while away the time on a lazy, sunny afternoon. Stroll along the banks of the stream at the base of the falls and commune with nature. Make a wish at the wishing well. It's all here for your enjoyment.
Presented by the Kissling Land Holding group.

They are nothing like as accomplised as the other posts here, but I recently made the Memorial Gardens at Grignano (12, 4 . The idea being that people can erect memorials to people they have lost in real life. Small, but well formed (IMHO!) Planet Mars.

I'm still working on it, but I've built a contemplative fountain and garden near my Gallery at Cowell (8,154).

Cliffside Resort Gardens & Greenhouse - Northwest corner of Ganymede on the riverbank. it's still under construction, but feel free to drop by for a look-see. Also, not much of a "park" per se, but feel free to take a look at Pomponio Falls - Pomponio 94,98. Sorry, no pictures, I'm message board illiterate. Maly

MORE please
04-13-2004 01:33
thanks everyone for all of these. Eventually, I am going, time permitting, to put together a web and Notecard based guide to SL gardens, parks and open spaces.
So please keep them coming!
Meantime, check out Sulumor's wonderful Olive Gardens, in Olive! I recommend them. Also Anything in the SL Parks and Recreational Services Group.

Nice topic and cool parks out there The place I'm posting is not properly a park, but a green place for sure and I think it will not defigure the thread: Pirate Hideout The place is a pirate lagoon up a mountain. Enjoy Ale Bukowski

My first call of nature.. was a waterfall that is located in Cowell, near the water.. I'm in hopes..to preserve it and add bit more landscaping.. My second.. is in Palomarian.. at the rivers edge coming from Noyo into Palomarian...runs under my small shop there. Best seen from your boat..or.. floating above the water... while seeking the sound of water..take the time.. to walk through the small... but peaceful gardens at the top of the hill there.. you'll find seatee's to relax (I do many times while going through inventory organization..or IMs)... as you walk past the garden..you find a place... I hope..to hold an event...then up the steps..to a waterfall hot tub... then..to cool off...walk down the steps..the the lighten pool Hoping to add more in the future! Would love to also take this time.. to say to all the plant and tree designers... thank you... for your beautiful..and hard work..in bringing us such wonderful additions to our lands.. Gardinya
