Are you complaining that there is nothing to complain about?
Or are you complaining that people are complaining.
Maybe you complaining that people are complaining that there is nothing to complain about?
Anyhow, I didnt follow you :p

Goes to show you that you have no clue as to what's really going on, or the Revolutionaries true agenda. Have you tried talking to any of the Revolutionaries in game? If you had, you would know what's really happening. Try us, before you condemn the things we are doing. Plus it'll save you face in the long run.

If I have to play guessing games to figure out what you're trying to accomplish, then I won't bother. I have better things to do than guessing agendas and playing tricky mind games all over something as insignificant as taxes.

There's no guessing games...there's no tricks. Just know the whole story before you jump into narraration. If you have better things to concern yourself with, then why even speak up in the first place?

Just tryin to give you a heads up, Americana member's are nice people, and we are willing to sacrifice oursleves for the betterment of fun in game, we just don't want anybody who doesn't want a part of it to go down with us. Stop by and tlak to us Schwartz...if you have the time. Your call.

OK... the Revolutionary thing is a bit over the top, but it gets the point across.

The point is that group builds are suffering because of the current tax structure. All we are trying to do is bring up that there is a flaw and bring it to light in a unique way.

Was Dr. Martin Luther King's march in Birmingham just "a pretty stupid publicity stunt", or a significant event in history that brought to light a flaw in the system?

All of the tea crates and fire scripts aside, this does bring to light a flaw in the current tax system, especially when it concerns themed communities.

To be honest, I do not spend any more money inworld or build anymore, lest the tax system start to bleed me completely dry, and force me to host events just to stay afloat (I do not create textures, script, or build items that would be purchase worthy)... I want to host events because it's fun, not because I have to if I want to actually attempt to build something... all this does is create a feeling equivalent to the "kill, kill, level up" feeling that is all too prevalent in other MMOs or making pizzas in The Sims Online.

The sad thing is that I own only one other section of land other than the land I purchased in Blue... where my home is. I sold off two other pieces of land that I owned just to make sure that I had enough money to purchase the land in Blue. I DON'T want to release that plot of land, because it's the only thing inworld that is truly my own (the St Louis Arch is going to be on my plot of land in Blue)... I give that up, then I really have nothing in this world, even though I have been inworld for 5 months.

Sometimes you just need a place to call home, even in Second Life... if I give that up, I'll most likely lose all interest in Second Life.

Bye bye for now,
Alexis

What's great is that as soon as 1.1 comes out, the whole revolution will die, because all the problems will be solved with the immense amount of group controls that will come out with the 1.1 release, as stated in a town hall meeting. As for why people are complaining _now_, maybe it's just to speed up the process and get 1.1 out sooner? I dunno.. why bother whining and complaining when the fix is already set in stone as being on the way...

You know...In RL....When taxes got out of control....our forefather's in Americana dumped a bunch of tea into the harbor...which led to revolution....

Maybe the revolution will die when 1.1 is released....
Or maybe, it will have been seen as successful.

The pending 1.1 release came before the revolution started... so you will claim victory over something there didnt even need to be a "revolution" over????

Umm, I have... I have... Unfortunately, I don't have the time or resources.

I'm a crappy builder, and discovering that it's somewhat difficult to improve/experiment with my scripting when I have no builds to script.

Right now, these are my priorities in the hopes that one day I'll be able to actually build/script something that I can sell, and not be dependent on the stipend/bonus system.

But thanks for the offer. ;)

Well, in truth...all we want is your voice.
And we are willing to help you with learning to build or with scripting. Garth is a great scripter and so is Bos.
I'll help you build. The offer is there..we hope to see you.

The civil rights movement was significant. A bunch of people in a computer game putting on a show to protest a play-money economy isn't.

It's a game Schwartz... Not everything has to be taken so seriously.
Geesh, release the buckle on your pants a little bit, exhale and enjoy, we'd love to have you.

Almost shows you how powerful this "computer game" is becomming, eh?

I gotta agree with Misnomer, the revolutionaries should in no way feel that, when their taxes are fixed, that they had been the cause and the success of it. The 1.1 guidelines were written up way before this "revolution". As for "mad king george" taking things away from you, you have to look at it from a different perspective. (Trust me, this might be somthing you never knew...)

Linden doens't take your money and just keep it, they spread it out into the 10k voting booth pool, into money for new members (not trial users, people who paid), and finally, into the stipend that they give you at the end of every week. Money does not get magically created in the world, it is constantly recycled. The only time that money is added to the economy is when new sims are added onto the world. This is all absolute fact.

So even though your problems may seem like king george is after your money, just remember that he's doing it for every other player in the game so that a balance can be kept, not because his "mad".

I love the way things get twisted...
If you read the Above post...we are claiming nothing.
Everything that you guys say we claim, has been laid upon us by you, not us.
We never claimed the we designed or were the inspiration for 1.1.
And we have nothing against the Linden's, we love the Lindens, It's George we are after and we never equated the two...you did.
Don't make the mistake, people of not stopping by the sim and talking to one of the member's to find out what's going on. We are there and so are the details of what we are doing...we just don't want to post it in the forums.
Mostly because we are enjoying watching everyone get worked up...and they don't even bother to come by and ask us what's going on. COME BY.
