So what kind of look are you going for?

Apparently, I'm all about references. My user name (which I use for just about every message board or other user-name-required-thingy that I sign up for) is a reference to the anime series, The Slayers (albiet a misspelled one). My avater, too, is a reference, though not tot he same thing.

Ever since I heard about Secon Life, I've had an idea in my head about what I wanted my character to look like. See, I'm a big Terry Pratchet fan, and Rincewind the wizard is one of my favorite characters. He's a coward, he's completely inept, and yet he winds up saving the day (however unintentionally) again and again. At any rate, that's what I'm going for with my avatar. The body and clothing are more-or less what I imagine him looking like (both skinny and out of shape at the same time, and quite short), and I ran out and bought a wizard hat as soon as I could. Now, if only I could apply a texture that says 'Wizzard' to it, I'd be set. Alas, though, I just started yesterday (the 1st of May), and changing the hat's color is about as much as I can handle at the moment. Speaking of that stuff, though: does anyone know of someone who would be able to create a chest that would follow me around on hundreds of tiny feet, and possibly snap its lid at people once in a while? I'd of course pay for it (with such money as I have, which isn't a lot), but I realize it's a rather tall order. It would just complete the look so well, though!

i've already got a good idea of how to pull it off, i THINK, but if you want feet, those will be expensive to rez (you'll have to pay the rez costs for it, on top of what you would pay me to build it)... i could do little stumpy legs, maybe six or eight... i'm usually online friday evening thru monday afternoon, and lately have been spending most of my time in kissling (just north of perry), but if you do a CTRL+F find for me and i'm online, but not in kissling, try dore or jessie...

honestly, i don't know if i'll have time to do this, but if you can find someone else who knows a lot about scripting, i can give them the general ideas behind how i think it should work, and they should be able to turn out the code pretty easily.

as far as my av, it was originally created as a manifestation of my personality, and as i joined Shangri-La, then the WarGamers, and now the Kissling community, it has mutated slightly, but has retained most of the same physical aspects, with some changes to skin tone and hair. of course the clothing changes, depending on what project i'm working with at the moment: a karate gi for shangri-la, combat fatigues for wargamers, and a business suit for kissling

every now and then, i'll look at my av and decide there's something not quite right with it, so i'll tweak it a little here and there, until i've gotten it "right".

Hey, thanks for the response. You don't have to worry about how to make it, though; I was only half serious. Anyway, I'm kind of out of my Rincewind phase now, so I don't really need a Luggage following me around. Besides, I just built a house so I'm poor now; doubt I could pay your expenses.
