Now that I've come out (so to speak!) about dreaming of Russell Crowe's Second Life house and pulp novel, I'm looking for more REM state log-ins. Have you had dreams set in SL? If so, post 'em here!

I am fairly good at lucid dreaming and astro projection
![]() Really tru I mean it lol. I even built a few objects from dreams I had. Anyone remember my spinning rings on kissling? and the spinning octaballs that were around it? Those came straight from a dream. _____________________

Probably. But my dreams are so jumbled I can't make much sense of it anyway. I dream about weird houses and buildings a lot... but that has nothing to do with SL, per se. Guess SL is more like my dreams than my dreams are about SL.

If you want the thread without "dreams" red all over, I bumped it and got the link here

I had a very weird dream a few months ago regarding Haney Linden throwing me in front of a San Francisco bus when I went to visit him at the office. :/

I had the oddest dream one night that really freaked me out. I dreamt that I actually lived in my cabin in Darkwood. Except, my computer was there too, but all the furniture was real.
I dreamt someone broke into the house, and 'deleted' everything, including my computer. Thus created a weird-freaky-mental-paradox loop. How could I recover my lost items in my trash bin, without my computer? When my computer is there also? Gah. Who ever said dreams make sense? |

If I've dreamed about SL, I don't remember it.

I, too, dream of flying and it's led me to ponder the implications of in-world experiences affecting my subconscious the same as real world ones.
Then I started thinking about the fact that we're on the cusp of huge nanological medical breakthroughs, and how once we can modify bodies in real life, they will, in effect, become "costumes," much like they are in SL. I already find myself looking at strangly-attired or coiffed people in RL crowds and thinking, "Now THAT'S a clever AV!" SL makes us all a bit strange and difficult for real-worlders to understand. Soon we'll be *forced* to spend all of our spare time here because we just won't fit in "out there." Ahhhhhh, ..... I see it now....... it's a carefully calculated plot by the Lindens...... once you come you must stay forever...... Maggie |

Nope no SL dreams, probs because I am on 24/7 and don't sleep anymore. But I do see red, blue, and green arrows all over my RL stuff now.
One weird thing tho... yesterday I went outside, yes I did, and not only did I hear the wind, but I felt it too. Really weird... fen- |

I've had a few. The one that sticks out the most was I was real but lived in my sl room and found myself sleeping quite comfortably in my sl bed with the satin sheets and the sheer canopy curtain stirring quietly from a breeze coming through my window. I even had on the jammies that Billie made for me. Aaahhh what a life.

When I was a kid, I dreamed of flying through the neighborhood in a floating way, just like SL. I also dreamed of a magical globe that I could will myself really small into, and there would be a world just like the real world, only no people. I could go into everyone's house, wonder through the department stores and play with any toy.
I also had dreams where I would discover hidden doors in the back of my closet which led to secrete rooms, and you could keep crawling through a network of secrete rooms. Anyway... I loved these dreams, and I think that's my VR passion! I can make them come true in a VR way. I still need to make some secrete roomed building though, LOL. Oooh, Hamlet, how do you pull this stuff out of us anyway?? You get so personnel sometimes ![]() _____________________

Heh, that's what I'm here for! Then again, I spilled the beans about dreaming of being in Russell Crowe's SL house, and I'm still a little embarrassed about that one...

Since joining SL, I don't think I sleep for long enough to actually dream! (at least 2 or 3 nights a week anyway)

I'm only begun playing SL recently so no dreams yet. I expect them to begin sometime soon though. I used to play DAOC before this and I constantly had dreams where I was my little lurikeen nightshade. Those were the most curious dreams I ever had, expecially since the nightshade was female

Heh. If we're lucky, the Lindens will one day introduce a function that allows your AV to sleep, and while sleeping, to dream. (Like, say, random images are piped onto your screen while you're in sleep mode, taken from various "cameras" within SL.)
And then we can all dream about dreaming in Second Life. |

Getting a little psychedelic on us there Ham?
When the voices start talking to each other, you REALLY have a problem. LOL. Great idea though. Crow _____________________

Heh, a boy can dream, can't he? (With the right patch, that is.)
I already hear voices every time I'm in SL, so we're already well into a hallucinatory space, I think. |

SL Is a dream.... ?
07-28-2003 11:51
I always thought Second Life is a dream... if it isn't, then is it reality? If Second life is reality does that make First Life a dream... or nightmare??

Is SL a dream?
07-28-2003 12:53
Someone please - let me know if you saw me flying around and talking nonsense last night between 3 and 7 am - I dreamed I was inworld all night and was startled to find myself in bed in the morning!
