The Uru Anniversary (anniversary of Uru Live shutdown) held at Telador.
Currently slated for Sat, Feb 5 (since the 9th is mid-week), though I'll be running discussions for several days before and after. There's a meeting this evening. Though I'm not going to be home at the time (at a games convention of all things ![]() Edit: I don't think anyone else from the group working on this posts to the forum, so your appearance would be a pleasant surprise to them. _____________________

The inredible inonsistency in "discipline" enforcement by LL.
Anything related to favoritism by LL/Liasons as a corporation towards specific residents as alleged by other residents The disconnect between civility and forum behavior The (lack of) disconnect between the forums and inworld SL Non-oldbie reaction to any of the recent changes/the recent instabilities of the grid |

We have completed 4 events to date. We have the same teams returning every week, the challenges have been a blast, and the outpouring of sponsors has been overwhelming. I have been posting in the forums the play by plays. The voting off of team members has been a real clincher. If Im not mistaken, this is the first time for something like this in SL. The feedback I am getting is that the spectators, hosts, and players are loving it - and other great minds are already at work on the same type of series.

Yes, do send me an IM, anytime you think there's something you think I should look at. As a tip, it's best to give me specifics, as opposed to a mysterious, "Hey, come look at something I just made." The more specifics, the more enticing. One of my favorite NWN stories began with an IM from a guy claiming to be holding a monkey hostage . NOT THAT I'M ENDORSING NON-CONSENSUAL MONKEY NAPPING IN THE SLIGHTEST.

D&D Dogs!!!!
We've been selling scripted pet dogs since beta...and they've come a long way since then. We now have a fully functioning upgrade system, and any tricks we make can be learned by any dogs. We have a dozen breeds and over a dozen tricks they can learn...with more coming. If you haven't seen one of our dogs in world, you haven't been in world too long ![]() And we are on our second Collector's Limited Edition dog (Valentine's Day Pit Bull), following the success of our first, the Christmas Chihuahua. _____________________

Failed projects, and why they flopped.
You're an easy read Hamlet, but I don't usually see anything that I could say is a 'critique' of anything Linden-based. You dont' have to go off on a tangent and lambast them, but at the same time, to be balanced I'd think you would present success and failure. Just an idea. There are plenty of projects out there that got publicized, some made it, some didn't. I'm more interested in the ones that failed, because it exposes underlying problems which may be beneficial to air out. (Other than lack of leadership, or some other obvious failing.) There are some recent examples that would make good cases, I think. |

Neaultenburg!
Note I contributed nothing but a bit of land tier. Didn't even vote ![]() Actually, Hamlet .. you should write about DarkWood and NeaultenBurg .. You could do a series on player zoned sims. There are all sorts of fascinating issues, like the politics of how they work .. from the formal ones of NeaultenBurg to the informal ones of DarkWood. Does anyone know any other player zoned sims that are a gathering of more than one or two people? _____________________
Taken from The last paragraph on pg. 16 of Cory Ondrejka's paper "Changing Realities: User Creation, Communication, and Innovation in Digital Worlds :
"User-created content takes the idea of leveraging player opinions a step further by allowing them to effectively prototype new ideas and features. Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches." |

Taber! This has been a great cohesive loosely knit community following a somewhat Tudoresque feeling for at least 15 or more months. No squabbling, or in fighting. Just a great bunch of friends.
