All I have read on the forums lately is how terrible this new update is. I am here to tell you that I think the new update is great! SL is running very smooth, no lag issues and graphics even look better. I am running SL on a 20 inch Intel imac, 2ghz intel core duo, 1 gig ram, 256mb graphics card.

I tested out the game yesterday in different areas, crowded dance clubs, sandboxes, areas w/ weapons(I even took a few shots in the name of science).

I want to thank everybody that worked so hard to bring us this version of SL.

No seriously... we are all happy for you... but us OS 10.3.9 G4 maccers are staring at the logo that isn't even animated... we are stuck between our first and second lives...

The update may be great, superduper... but aint working for us

May be if SL donates us all new Intel Macs with Tiger... we can join your happiness

But anyway... glad somebody can log in.

PS: can't SL on my pc either... terrible lag... everything jagged and 1fps.

Getting an iMac with Tiger may not help you. I am running a new 20inch iMac duo with 10.4.6 and 2gbs memory on a high speed cable connection and the upgrade is not usable. Previously, I was running the Alpha version of the Mac UB client and it was terrific. Now, the lag is so bad I can't do anything in SL.

I am having the exact same experience as you... but the quality seems to degrade over time, especially when building or interacting with a lot of objects.
