Preview Grid Hangs on Connect

I have two OS X machines running side by side. Once is a dual 2.5Ghz G5 tower with the uber Nvidia card and 1Gb RAM. The other is a 1.67ghz Powerbook G4 with 1.5Gb RAM....

I've pulled down the latest preview (1.9.1.16) and after I click "connect" on the main screen I get the spinning pizza wheel. It never seems to connect. And usually shows "Not responding" in the Finder after a short while.

Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone have a solution?

read grids before u post stupid questions...there was already one that said preview isnt letting login's and torrey linden replied confirming, we dont care what kind of pc u have
