Help sound is muted.

The sound is not playing in my version of sl. The preferences show that the muted settings are not checked and all other apps play just fine. (itunes, ect) When I try to click play for a stream it will not press in even though I know the stream is working. No sound effects or anything is playing at all. I have a mac book pro.

Nevermind, I unistalled a few times and loaded the preview. It worked fine in the preview. When I loaded the regular one the sounds slowly came back after about an hour.

Now since the update the sound is not working in either the regular client and the beta. I have not been able to hear anything for the past week or so.

on macbook pro and quad G5..

i guess it isnt a "client-thing" couse it couldnt happen on both machines. maybe it is a mac-problem. the sound is getting away without a crash or something like that.

so there are any macusers around, which have soundproblems either?

btw: videostreams work fine. its just audiostreams and HUDs with sound.

try this:

basically you just need to go in Audio Midi Setup, and make sure you Output is set to 44100 Hz. If its not, change it to that. If it is set to that, change it to something else then change it back... then start SL and sound should work.
