These are prims that actually make your avatar skin invisible. Go to the Luskwood General Store location listed in my sig to see it for yourself. ![]() _____________________

Who has the old texture that will make all PRIMS vanish. The sort people put around ugly builds so they can't bee seen from your property. (I think the old giant "Thinker" toilet build had one of these near it.) Anybody have this? I have an application that could really use this. _____________________

i wish there would be a way to completly remove the human avatar and only keeping bones for attachments and collision boxes, this invisiprims stuff is halfassed complicated take more prims/scripts and its ruining the shinies (this is my main concern), can anybody make a pool or something about that? i cant seem to find any "suggestions" place around here ..
i cant believe LL never gave the possibility to simply switch avie on and off .. shouldnt be too hard for them to do. when it will be possible (and i really hope it will be possible shortly), this will save the designers a great deal of time, meaning more profit for everyone, including LL, in the end. |

is there no way to apply the invisible texture to your avatars skin? like a tattoo? Afraid not. It only works for prims. Avatar transparency has been a topic of much debate, though -- I'd personally like to see them implement it, as it would make things a whole lot easier (and not buggy-looking). _____________________

Avatar transparency has been a topic of much debate, though -- I'd personally like to see them implement it, as it would make things a whole lot easier (and not buggy-looking). I have a question about your invisiprims... I haven't had a chance to try them out since I only get a few hours a week, and I am trying like mad to get set up and running. (Ten days old, y'know... and in that "Frantically building" phase of my second life...) Anyway, I am working on a custom avatar and would like to know if use of your invisiprim on legs will hide or otherwise interfere with the appearance or texture of any intersecting prims. In other words (And I think I know the answer, but I want to know for sure before I lose a lot of time seeking an answer for a question that already has an answer...) If I want to make the legs of my Human av invisible (Say, for a Centaur...), would the invisiprim interfere with any of the prims in the front legs? |

Some people seem to get the brown ground texture, and with the timer in the script, the texture flashes from invisible to brown. It seems to happen for only a handful of people with certain configurations.
I've seen it on machines with a GeForce FX 5200, and also on a Mac laptop with ATI card. But it does not happen on my Windows laptop with ATI 9600 card. ANyone have an idea why some people have issues and some don't? _____________________

I'm a little confused as to why everyone is speaking of the invisible prim as if it's the holy grail.. while I do appreciate your contributing to the scripting community, a transparent texture is included with the default texture pack, and none of this even needs to be scripted - you could just select the prim and change the texture to the transparent one.
If by chance you can't find the transparent texture that's built in, or if anything is wrong with it (I vaguely remember it being not completely transparent but that may just be me), a .tga with nothing but a solid black alpha channel serves as a perfectly suitable replacement. |

I am not really all that interested in making my Avi invisible (I spend a lot of time and Lindens making it look good, why would I want to hide all that work?
![]() My home in SL looks out over a nice area of sea, however, there are two rotating signs just outside my land that are very irritating, if anyone can show me how to make those so that I can't see them from my house, I would be very glad! thanks, Yakumo Masukami |
