i have to say, i think this is both interesting and cool. i've been aware of SG for awhile now, but what may bias my opinion of seeing them joining SL is the fact that one of the people that live with me used to go out with this girl.. well, she has an older sister who is, yup.. a Suicide Girl! (Edea is her SG name if you're wondering) i remember when she came to my place.. she pulled up the SG website, signed in and sat there showing us her photo-shoots. an odd experience, but one that happened nonetheless. i probably even showed her SL when she had visited.  (side note, Edea has a Star Trek themed photo-shoot   )

Yes, SG buys sets from us at $300/set, but anyone who does SG for the money is doing it for the wrong reasons. The money is just an extra bonus. I love doing the shoots. I feel really good about myself when a set goes up and I have seventeen pages of comments telling me how great of an idea it is or how pretty I look. I get opportunties like SL and I get exposure. I also get a free lifetime membership to the site. I've been modelling for 3 years professionally now, and I usually charge about $100/hour. THerefore, 300 bucks is damned good pay for a half hour spent giggling and having fun with Oryx, the TO staff photographer. |
