I realize you're trying to make a point about the new no-reply rule, but:
(a) you can send a private message or IM in-world as forum rules ALSO state that private conversations should be omitted from the General forum
(b) you can put it in the notices & well wishes forum
(c) clogging up General because you're unhappy about something in classified is not productive, especially given how fast your posts get buried.

Because the question might be of relevance to other people? I'm interested in the answer too!

Willow, I could say this about every question I have about every product I see. But if every product were to get a post in General, it'd be thousands of posts.

One product does not constituate "General" interest - as has been ruled by Lindens over and over. Back in the day, I was told the same thing. So be it.

I agree! Or somehow make it so that classifieds don't show up when you hit the New Posts button, for those (like me) that do it!

I have to agree with the posters here Hiro.. this thread does infact belong to General now, and I do not really see anything private about posting a public suggestion to add additional color options to the product. =)

Yes it does. Read the announcements and the stickies at the top of each classified forum. That OLD rule is no longer the case. It has been superceded by a request to discuss stuff classifieds in the forums. Which is what we're doing.

So, basically, I can start flooding General about each and every suggested upgrade to each and every one of my and my friends' products?

No rule has been superceded. Both rules now exist, and both "must" be followed.

Look, you and Kris knew when you posted those that you'd be pushing people's buttons. That was the whole point - to make a hissy fit on how awful the "no-reply" rule for classifieds are. When someone - like myself - responds, you jump on the person.
