From: Nailati Elytis I don't quite understand why more people haven't joined this group...
Forming a group and thus a forum dedicated to product discussion would seem to make everybody happy, so let's do it, shall we? It takes time to spread the word, so if you like the idea, use the Find, Group tab, enter product discussion, and click join. Also, tell your friends, tell your customers, tell everyone that might want to another product discussion group. There are 6 people now, only 14 more to go. There is a problem with using these group forums for this purpose, making it broadly known that they are available. New folks start their selling careers here all the time and using these group forums like this isn't going to be in any linden documentation or in any stickies. Perhaps the groups members could modify their forum signatures to advertise joinging the group for a while,

Pardon my confusion. Do I have to use one of my in-world group slots to join the forum group? Because I'm already maxed from having to carry our commercial groups. I'd be happy to join if it doesn't mean losing one of the 15 slots.

From: Surreal Farber Pardon my confusion. Do I have to use one of my in-world group slots to join the forum group? Because I'm already maxed from having to carry our commercial groups. I'd be happy to join if it doesn't mean losing one of the 15 slots. One would not have to be in the group in order to use the forums. All group forums can be posted to by anyone. To get a group forum requires 20 people in the group, so 20 avatars do need to join the group, thus using a group slot, to join. Once the group forum is created, the continued existence of the forum depends on posting behavior, not on the number of members in the group. So once the group forum is created people can quit the group. If you want this group forum to get created but don't have free slots you can ask cooperative friends who do have free slots to join for long enough to get the group created. People with multiple accounts could use their alts to join the group if their main account is grouped up but their lesser accounts have free group slots. It's not just sellers who are eligible, anyone is welcome, whether you are a prospective customer who wants another product discussion group formed, or just think it's a good idea, or any other reason that comes to mind. If you want to join the group to help get the forum created, all you have to do is used the in-world Find dialog, Group tab, put in product discussion as the search term, highlight the appropriate group, and click join. You could also respond to this thread with a request to join and I will invite you to join.
