Great for her but this is the second posting I've seen today puffing her up. Does she have that many sycophants or is this an alt and the issues go really deep? :-)

I can't really speak for Anshe, but I'd put her investment in SL under the category of "calculated risk". She's betting that SL won't poof overnight, and in return, she has money to reinvest in her businesses within SL. The old adage "it takes money to make money" applies here. No business venture is ever truly risk free, and quite frankly, Linden Labs seems a safer bet than much of the stock market. :)

Anshe is without question very wealthy, however there are a couple things to consider.

1. How much does it cost her to have that money? In terms of land tier fees each month & also capital spent on purchasing L$. I obviously have no way of knowing this, neither does anyone except LL and Anshe herself. However, it isn't free. She pays a substantial infrastructure cost & that should be factored into the equation.

2. How much of that wealth does she actually have access to? Firstly, she requires cash reserves in order to fund her infrastructure & business model (purchasing land & L$ spring to mind). Secondly, should she try to cash out, it would prove very difficult to cash that out in a reasonable amount of time. At least without crashing the market, which would signifigantly devalue her own holdings in the process. Likewise with her real estate.

So, yes, she is rich. She may even have the highest per-month profit, but there is no way to tell that from the information available to us. Consider for example those who have sucessful retail shops with low land tiers. How much can they cash out per month & what are their profit margins?

In short, we dont know.

Don't let the numbers mislead you. There are many in SL who make a nice chunk of change who you never see on the leaderboards, with far less infrastructure cost. When one factors that into the equation the numbers can be quite different.
