Land for L3/m will be the rule rather than the exception. I wouldn't be surprised to see the L$ touch $3.00 / 1000

I pray the Linden drops to one dollar US = one billion Lindens, just so I can see you two implode. Then I won't have to keep skipping over these inane posts.

Well, my post was probably a knee jerk reaction to what I thought was going to be flooding of the Land Market, which would have resulted in the things I said would happen on a temporary basis. But, as I usually do, I posted that statement before thinking it through and explaining myself throughly.
Since the Lindens will only release that land on their preset schedules, it won't cause a crash of the GOM L$ market. Our worrying over it, a highly inflated L$ market, and just the rising and lowering tide of markets are responsible for the current "crash" of the L$. Markets to that.
Is SL alive, well, and expanding? Yes! Most certainly it is, and will continue to do so.

I dont know about you but the land around my place has been mostly empty for a LONG LONG TIME. Isn't LL releasing land a little too fast?

A big complaint I always have about SL is that they never really gave us a roadmap about what was coming down the pipe which lead to a problem in terms of investing time.
Over the months I've been with SL, I now realise:
1. They really only have resources to barely fix bugs, nevermind actually implement new features
2. They have no idea of what the roadmap is and when they try to roadmap it out, they end up changing it as they go along.

This is a common practice, Blaze. I've been using 3d Studio Max as my primary tool for making my living since it was 3d Studio 1.0 on dos. They never release any information about what features are being worked on for the next release. There are legal reasons why they don't. LL is actually very open about giving us hints of where they want to go in a way that developers of other production platform software are not (feature voting anyone?). Count your blessings.

That post was written in 2004 Afton looked great at first... but it was too empty. Now it looks like crap, it's lagged all the way to hell and back... and it's still devoid of people. Why do people own land and highly decorated homes if they are never around?
