I have a question for anyone who knows the answer:
Is there a way for me to allow certain, specific people to have the ability to use my land as their home without actually setting the land to be owned by a group? Like, if I want to give someone the ability to set the land as home, edit the land, and otherwise take care of it while I'm not around, is there any way to do that? If not, is there -any- other option aside from creating a group for the land and adding said people to it? Would granting them modify rights work?
I'm trying to avoid the group thing as it's actually only one other person, and as of yet, there still needs to be three people to keep a group active. I know about the alt idea. I'll create one if I have no other choice, but frankly, I don't think I should have to do that.
One specific idea I thought of is to rent the property out to said person for L$0. Would that work and also allow me to have access to the land as owner? Or would only the person renting be able to control things while they were "paying" for it?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You can keep the 'land edit' and 'create object' boxes checked, but then anyone can edit the land and rez stuff. The only way that you can share access to switch these features on and off is via group deeding, and then it's shared ownership too.

Also, see my reply in this thread - /130/e9/56086/1.htmlThat's another option. This option still will not give the 'tenant' the ability to turn on/off land edit tho.

I don't mind the shared ownership, I just don't want to have to involve a third party or create an alt (for a group) just so I can share the land with one other person. There is no way to rent to a single person instead of a group? I see you mention renting out to a "rental group" in the other thread. Is it possible to do that for just one individual? I guess the other option is to set land to allow edit, but then set it to only allow me and one other person inside of it. Would that keep other people from editing it, or would they still be able to do it from outside the perimeter?
